Thousands and thousands dead or injured thank to putin's right wing authoritarian regime and it's imperialistic dreams.

What does it matter if the number is 500k, one, two millions?

Putin can stop this war, stop the invasion. But he is sending more and more young Russians to death and kill people już because they were born on the "wrong" part of the land.

I hope that the war ends soon.

Not just Russians. Evidently he's lying to people in Africa with promises of work, then sends them to the front line when they get there.

I remember when the Kyivpost or whomever posted casualties in excess of 1.1M, when that was known to be the entire active force strength of the Russian Army at the time. Gotta take some of this with a grain of salt, because it's always printed with breathless "Victory over Russia is imminent!" implications, like the meme

Nobody seems to want to believe this is the kind of fight that can drag on for another four years. Or another ten. Or another twenty.

To be fair, the war looks exactly like the meme currently and has done so for a long time. Let's hope russia collapses sooner rather than later.

You're basically a NATO propagandist if you think they orchestrated the invasion and made it go so poorly on Russia's part. Russia was literally seen as the second strongest military force worldwide and nobody wanted to help Ukraine because they would supposedly get steamrolled in weeks tops. They got piles of anti tank launchers and a pat on the back. Literally nobody expected Russia to show its ass so fucking hard.

It makes Russia look weak, sure, but by saying NATO forced it to happen is basically saying Russia is so weak militarily and politically that NATO can literally force them into a quagmire and deplete stockpiles, and THAT sounds like westoid propaganda.

Now do it 3 more times and you have their WW2 casualties. This war is going to cost Russia so much to lose it will make Trumps 300b look like the good outcome.

Military death alone were more than 4 times than, including civilians, we are close to 10 times the number.

That's a lot of casualties for a two week operation

what's crazy to me are two aspects:

kill to death ratio in this conflict, on the RU side, is WILD. Generally you end up with one dead for every few wounded / casevac'd - that's not what we're seeing in Ukraine, where Russians get blasted, mined, droned etc., and just die on the battlefield.

Russian army numbers - so many of the wounded and dead aren't regular russian army, but drunks, criminals, and old men they scraped out of the oblasts and prisons to keep the meatgrinder fed... so theoretically russia still has an army after all of this (good luck deploying it without fuel, modern functioning armor / apcs / artillery tubes etc.,) but yeah

Its even more astonishing when you compare it to modern military numbers that are closer to a 1 in 10 ratio even for large scale conflicts. Russia numbers for this conflict look like Napoleonic war casualties.
