Amazon Prime Music already had a major enshittification in its past. It used to be that it was essentially a catalog of music that you could listen to and make playlists and such. Then they changed it so that you couldn't exactly listen to the songs you wanted to, and instead you had to listen to the Amazon playlists or stations and your only real controls were the shuffle button, as I doubt the "like" button really did anything.

Thats the worst way of doing this. You never take away things people already had and then ask them to pay for it. I know i would never continue to use this if they did that. Never used it, but I hear its awful anyway.

They now make me box up returns and find a physical printer to print my own return postage rather than the more convenient drop off at location.

The Amazon Music app for android is garbage.

I cancelled my Amazon prime account years ago and don't miss it like I feared I would. Announcements like this only reaffirm that I made the right choice.

Glad I never used Amazon for music. Physical media and mp3s it is.
