If you're a little technically inclined I went with the "Self-hosted LiveSync" community plugin and really recommend it. It requires setting up (and maintaining) a couchdb instance and going through the plugin's setup. Not the easiest thing in the world but not too bad either. End result, I have end-to-end encrypted LiveSync on all my devices.

I store my obsidian notes in my mega share drive and it updates pretty rapidly between the two systems (Linux and android in this case)
I use synctging for other stuff, so for me it was a bit of a nobrainer to use it for obsidian too. I have run into some issues. Notably with trash. It will very often try, and fail, to sync trashed files. I have to put a lot of stuff in the ignore field for all my files to make it stop spitting out errors all the time. I think the best part of it though is that it works so smoothly the rest of the time. I almost never even need to think about it nowadays, now that I've got it all setup.
Just be aware that there are some characters that obsidian allows in file and folder names that cause syncthing to throw a fit. Like question marks. Oh god why do question marks cause so many issues in syncthing its awful.
Thanks for the reminder. Syncthing has been working great for me.
And I just checked Obsidian does not allow ? in file names.
late to the post but I use syncthing for everything. It works well but the biggest "cheat" is that some of my syncs are shared on my VPS. So when connections are a bit fuzzy between my phone and home computer it all just works. But that is usuall when I'm not on my home network.
