Excerpt:

"The Department of Justice continues to unlawfully withhold over 3 million Epstein files that should be released to the public. In addition, the DOJ is unlawfully maintaining heavy redactions on the files it is releasing. State attorneys general and victims should have the right to sue the Attorney General of the United States to compel compliance with a transparency law President Trump signed."

"Rep. Massie and I introduced our bill to release the Epstein files nearly a year ago. Since then, the DOJ has violated our law, delayed the release of millions of files, botched the redactions, and denied the survivors justice. That’s why I’m joining Rep. Massie and my colleagues to introduce the Epstein Files Transparency Act II that allows state attorneys general and survivors to sue the U.S. Attorney General and demand transparency," said Rep. Khanna.

YES. This, along with Massie's articles of impeachment against Hegseth, are why House members got sent home early to wait out the midterms: Johnson could no longer guarantee their failure.

But they're coming back next week, I think Wednesday. That is, IF Johnson allows them to. And several of them will have been voted out, only there to warm their chairs for the next guy until January.

If you want to find a spine among individual Republicans, it only appears during a moment in their lifecycle when they are no longer in power.

Thus, when Congress come back -- IF they are allowed to come back -- this legislation is still on the table, along with the open Hegseth impeachment, and now a number of pissed off lame duck MAGA reps that were not re-elected and no longer have anything to lose by voting against the administration. You know, the one that fucked their races in the ass by insisting voters should vote like Trump himself is on the ballot because they haven't noticed the winds have changed.

Shit's about to get wild in DC.

I don't. It took a lot of work to get them to pass the law which we've gotten plenty out of. It might be a drop in the bucket but it's more than we had 2 years ago. Massie and some others lost their job over it - and now it's possible the lame duck Congress still won't be productive since I don't see Republicans moving as one.

Spending time on Epstein also prevents the red congress from doing more damage elsewhere.

They actually have. There has been more visibility on this than anytime before EFTA was signed into law. A member of the British royal family has been arrested, the new Queen of Norway will forever struggle to distance herself from her past with Jeffrey. Bill Clinton and Gates both experienced the most amount of discomfort since their respective public scandals in the 90s. Another Attorney General lost her job, even though the DOW was over 50,000.

But the most important thing is that millions of people who declared people “conspiracy theorists” for thinking the world’s elites were somehow all connected via sexual blackmail and some through pedophilia, had to take a serious sip of water and realise, the top of the capitalist aristocracy is beyond saving.

You’re talking about a powerful power structure which kept the world running for decades if not centuries, people like Musk and Ellison are actively fighting more disclosure behind the scenes. If you’re expecting this to happen overnight then I understand why you would be disappointed. Regardless of what happens, more disclosure is on the horizon, truth always finds a way out.

As more people realise the systemic damage, the closer we will get to achieving systemic change.

I'm not sure I understand why a second law needs to be signed, to enforce the first law? Anyone willing to explain?

    Love a good copy paste...

Yeah, I read it, I'm asking for an explanation why it's needed?

The first one didn't have any actual enforcement mechanism

Ok, so if a law lacks an enforcement mechanism, it's unenforceable? I assumed they could be held in contempt.

Is it because the enforcement mechanism is the fed, which won't hold itself in contempt, so we need the states to do it?

Every single heinous act in the usa under the trump regime has been to deflect from what should be the main issue, degenerate perverts in power running things into the ground for their own benefit. Although still bandied about from time to time, family values are a thing of the past.
