“We may have lost this battle, but the war is not over and I need y’all to stay in this fight,” Nixon told a packed crowd decked out in pink in a Jacksonville warehouse. “2028 is around the corner, so Ashley Moody, you better get it right cause we’re coming for you.”

The only disappointment from last night. Reminder that the Florida DNC chair Nikki Fried is a friend of Ashley Moody from their college days.

Supporters say Nixon modeled how an unapologetic progressive candidate can drive out voters in Florida, and Democrats across the ideological spectrum agree that her candidacy was a tide that raised other Democrats. Florida’s 60% turnout nearly hit the three-decade high it reached in 2018, when Democrats nominated another young, Black progressive, Andrew Gillum, for governor.

Her race was “a mandate from the people in the state of Florida showing that they’re long overdue for the leadership from the people that are true progressives and care about the people,” said Gainesville activist and Nixon supporter Chanae Jackson.

There are three things a candidate in the 21st century needs in order to win over the voters

    Enthusiasm

    Expertise

    Authenticity

This is why Trump was so popular. The dipshits saw that he was enthusiastic, bought into the lie he was an expert at business and confused audacity with authenticity. It wasn't until he materially made their lives worse while also bragging about making the lives of the Epstein class better that they wised up.
