Yes, because they fucking Nazis, and we’re living in a fascist dictatorship.

Make no mistake, this won't stop after Trump. Even if ICE is abolished, the oligarch class will vote with their dollars to have this surveillance continue, as it's fundamental to their survival.

There may be no "after Trump". At least not in the way people mean. Meta is currently disconnecting and suspending accounts related to US elections as we are only weeks away from the midterms. From large Senate races like in Florida with Angie Nixon. To local city races in Arizona. They also just did this on the world stage before Lula won in Brazil. Taking down accounts related to his campaign and promoting the other candidates.

Our president is the allowing the son of the fascist dictator in Brazil to be accepted with open arms when fleeing to Miami; and just posted that we need to "save Brazil from Communism" just after a democratic election.

Facebook/Meta has been doing this for decades. But the boomerang has returned. ICE is the boomerang of our direct military actions; especially when it comes to Israel. Our police departments train in Israel with the IDF. The crimes and genocide done to the Palestinians is "training ground" for the brown shirts we have now.

And the broader "left and liberals" in America have less solidarity and resistance in their entire sum population than a single Palestinian child does in their pinky finger.

The left in America needs to realize quickly that our "philosophical victories" will not be praised by the history books.

There may be no “after Trump”.

People thought there was going to be an "after W. Bush" and then the democrats legalized and codified some of the worst excesses of Bush's War on Terror.

The things put in place by Trump that are dangerous will not be removed, just like the things that Bush put in place that are dangerous (DHS, ICE) will not be removed.

This is what I mean when I say "both parties are the same" because by and large both are totally on board with wholesale spying on the US populace (and by extension treating us all as potential criminals/terrorists on no suspicion whatsoever) as long as they can make a buck along the way.

There are very few Ron Wyden's, who has essentially made his career trying to get people to understand how dangerous this mass surveillance is. He recently pointed out that there's still classified legal interpretations from the Bush admin that even back then he claimed the US citizenry would absolutely lose their shit if they found out existed. He can't tell us what it is, but he's been warning us about it for 25 years.

I still think it’s stupid to say both parties are the same because they have a few things in common. They have vastly more things not in common and asserting otherwise just undermines your point. Just say what you mean not some broad incorrect statement, both parties are bad when it comes to privacy, individual liberties or upholding constitutional protections

"Both parties are the same" is incorrect if you are viewing the parties based on their messaging or from a perspective of idealism.

"Both parties are the same" is correct if you are viewing the parties based on the material outcomes of the actions they take and who they serve to benefit.

The purpose of a system is what it does.

probably ‘dangerous’ for them to encourage research along these lines as the chance of radicalizing their own agents must be high

That's the thing - I think that's exactly the issue. Once they start educating themselves, they realize they're in the wrong line of work and on the wrong side of history and then they start having conflicts with their conscience and coworkers and bosses... at least that's my hope.

"Considerable amount of study and time to acquire."

Am I reading this wrong, or did they just admit to being too stupid to be able to?

Kinda, but also it can be basically an associate's degree worth of political theory and history that most anarchists pick up through a combination of personal study and interpersonal discussion over years. And that occurs during the radicalization stage, which infiltrators need to pose as already having passed. And the fact that these topics aren't necessarily simple also plays a role.

Like, I've met dumb anarchists before, but nobody would join a cell with the idiots, and the idiots won't think to join a cell. They'll get intoxicated and light something on fire at a protest or something similar. And even they'll expect you to have some cultural understanding before committing a crime with you.

I hate calling it radicalization. Radicalization implies with the intent to cause violence. And that's not at all the goal.

Course that gets into the whole debate of property, and whether or not certain actions like removing bench sleeping deterrents is a violent act (where as I argue preventing people with a need to utilize a public space is violent).

Geocorp is making bank detaining the “illegals” now and will also make bank detaining these “ICE” agents after it is over.

  • ICE’s Homeland Security Investigations is engaged in far-reaching spying against left-wing activists that rivals the FBI and CIA crackdowns on the Civil Rights and anti-war movements.

Seems TPTB in the US have always been against human rights and peace.

    Yep.

e.g. this 105 year old asshole being investigated today.

Every last ice agent, 'big balls' and the doge clowns, etc will live the rest of their life with their head on a swivel. Justice ain't quick, but it sure is persistent.

Their location data will be subpoenaed. Their socials will be combed. Their ISP and Cell provider and tech bro overlords will give the data over willingly.

The best part is that today, erasing the paper trail is effectively impossible. They're either living in fear, headed to a country with no extradition, lucky enough to die before they're caught, or fucked.

Many Nazis got away. We didn't have the Internet in the 40s. But we're still catching them 80 years later.

I so hope to see those "doge" jagoffs raked over the motherfucking coals.

They need to spend the rest of their lives either in court and/or prison. It's fucking outrageous what those little thugs got away with.

And of course, assholes like Musk and donnie should definitely face the same.

Nah - ICE is different than the FBI and CIA. There is still a leash on the FBI, no matter how much play the powers-that-be allows them on a regular basis. There is no leash on the CIA, but it doesn't like getting it's hands dirty - everywhere it operates, it uses the very people it is repressing to do it's dirty work.

ICE doesn't have a leash - it is simply in training. ICE has no need of proxies - what it intends doing on US soil it intends doing itself.

The thinly-veiled ethnic cleansing campaign that ICE is undertaking now is merely a trail run for what's coming - death squads and death camps.
