I am somehow not a space captain nor a magical girl.
Spoiler
The book is about becoming a butterfly
After you lay off the junk food and eat a nice green leaf. And get a good night's sleep for once.
Honesty now I am curious if a book called "This book will make you kid trans" would sell as a gag gift.
If a trans and/or gay character in a story can turn your kids trans and/or gay, then why isn't literally every person cis and straight?
I am very hungry, but I don't think I could justify calling myself a caterpillar.
Why am I not a brown bear just chilling out looking at shit?
I need answers.
I'm pretty hungry, though.
Most people are aware that sexuality is not a choice (I mean, who would choose to be LGBTQ+ in a society that treats them so badly?).
So, why would they accuse books of turning someone gay? Because it shows the reader that they don't have to hide who they are. That's it. They are afraid that their children won't suppress their sexuality and suffer in silence like a 'good' Christian, Muslim, or whatever religious person should.
My kid cut off my arms to build a house after reading The Giving Tree. Checkmate, libs!
I can trace a lot of the major changes in my life to books. Read banned books.
So, I've heard all about potter "turning the kids to satinists", but what book is "turning the kids trans"?
I am looking for new books to read
I know a few books that turn people into complete assholes. They all talk of a magical man in the sky.
Why am I not a lowly worm flying an apple helicopter?
Well, that's simple. You're the helicopter. /j
