I wish they were

It's going to get a lot worse...

Houthis captured another strait and bombed the Saudi east-west pipeline.

Houthis aren't just a random militia or terrorist organization, they've been building miles of tunnels you can drive trucks thru for over a decade and construct their own drones in those tunnels from raw materials.

What makes that really bad is:

1. Iran has been having them train a bunch of other groups to do the same.

2. We wasted all our bombs big enough to penetrate those tunnels.

3. These groups are perfectly happy dying today or fighting for 50 years then dying. Their first leader had to be killed by filling his tunnel with gas and burning him alive, they couldn't get to him and he wouldn't come out. That is how all current members view conflict too.

And most importantly of all, Iran knows escalations cause a greater effect the closer America gets to midterms. Things won't even have a chance to calm down till after that.
