It's been 25 years. Many adults don't have any memory of it and don't care. I think we should stop remembering if we're just gonna keep fucking bombing the middle east until someone attacks it a third time.

How about America remember how Canada helped out that day by letting flights be diverted to Newfoundland and taking care of stranded Americans. Now the current administration is going "Canada? What have they ever done for us?"
It would be nice, but in a strange sense I appreciate the honesty. The American right has for decades discredited any and all aid from others to protect their myth that America, and Americans, can do anything, and that needing or receiving help is a moral failing. Republicans never forgot Canada gave a shit, they just never even bothered to learn. At least now the world can see this country for what it is, and will hopefully steer clear.
It should be a day to remember that the people who saved many and worked in the ground zero, got fucked and are being fucked by the government.
Remember the terrorism we created by being a culture of cunts. And then used to rape our citizens privacy and war with the middle east.
But perplexingly "'Never forget' is not a slogan" is a slogan.
I kind of feel like they did forget why it happened and why it will likely happen again.
Americans were told to never forget that it happened... not WHY it happened. That would involve too much self reflection and criticism of American imperialism.
This lack of understanding of WHY, is the why people lost their shit when Hasan casually dropped we deserved it.
Could have made it a mandatory holiday.
How can that be? Fox News told me he personally planned it and piloted both the planes that hit the WTC.

Yeah... never forget the day the US was given a small taste of it's own medicine.
