tried rebooting, didn’t work. Tied restoring license, didn’t work. Can’t communicate with them because their stupid AI bullshit ahows no submit button to send my questions.

So…. Is there a class action suit I can jump in on?

EDIT; an hour on the phone with three different departments. And the end result:

I have to buy the game again. Even though they verified that it shows purchased- both in my actual account (he even quoted me the purchase date) , AND through the PS app.

This is how it starts folks. Canceling my PS Plus as we speak.

OP mentioned a purchase receipt through the PS App. To me, that suggests it was a direct sale.

I would be amazed to get corrected, but I don’t think Valve has EVER deleted a product people paid for from their Steam accounts. They don’t even sell non-game software anymore, but they still support the apps people bought when they did.

They still kind of support the games that have been delisted from Steam; in that if you bought a game on Steam before it was delisted, it will still be in your Steam library and you can launch it through Steam and have all the social hubs still connected to said game.

Having worked in customer support - a lot - I don't place much stock in that kind of language. "Seeing the purchase on my account" can just as easily be "see that I redeemed the code from my purchase".

Not saying it is the case, just that it could be, until we get clarification from OP

Also, Steam can and definitely has allowed developers to revoke a license for various reasons. Usually related to fraud. But sometimes other reasons.

Here's the developer portal page that specifically mentions "ban or disable steam key" (which can be done even after the key is redeemed)

As much as those articles highlight problematic situations, part of the issues is that it was developers selling keys, not Valve. That’s why I was highlighting that the PSN sale mentioned and the receipt. If it was directly between the customer and the PlayStation Store, would make for a direct relationship with Sony, not the game dev.
