So I just got a message that Sony is revoking my license for Skyrim. A game I fucking paid money for because they can’t verify it. (lemmy.world)

tried rebooting, didn’t work. Tied restoring license, didn’t work. Can’t communicate with them because their stupid AI bullshit ahows no submit button to send my questions.

So…. Is there a class action suit I can jump in on?

EDIT; an hour on the phone with three different departments. And the end result:

I have to buy the game again. Even though they verified that it shows purchased- both in my actual account (he even quoted me the purchase date) , AND through the PS app.

This is how it starts folks. Canceling my PS Plus as we speak.

File a comaint with your credit card. Even if it was years ago this is the kind of thing a credit card company usually frowns on.

Be aware that Sony may lock out your account if you do this. Companies will often do that arguing either that the account must be compromised or that the chargeback was made in bad faith. If you’re truly done with Sony that doesn’t matter, though!

Then you can charge back every single payment to Sony you’ve ever made. Fuck em!

Yeah. That’s a good idea. I’ve already canceled PS+. I’m done paring them for this shit.

Hey, the playstation modding scene has been booming lately, if you're on ps4 or some updates for ps5, there's a really easy way to get it all back and then some for about 20min of tutorial time. Go turn off auto updates if you're on ps5, that way you can wait for the mods to catch up with your version if you're outside the golden zone.

If you want, I can even help you work through it if you're worried. Goes for anyone reading this, hit me up. If we can't own games then piracy isn't stealing.
