Frugivore implies a biological cause for the diet primarily consisting of fruit. Humans are biological omnivores regardless of if we choose to limit our diet of other reasons. They don't use frugivore for the same reason that vegetarians don't use herbivore.

I never herd of frugivore. My guess is you have vegetarian so its using the same thing.
