The link is https://info.adif.es/?s=71801

Change the last 5 digits for the code of the train station you want, it can be easily found at https://wwe.adif.es/

I don't find it very useful but I thought it was neat because these are the actual displays of the stations.

PM Carney announces investment in Via Rail locomotives and rail carspm.gc.ca/en/news/news-releasesAre we going to get the Stadler (Vossloh) EURO assembled in Canada, or a new North America-specific design? I wasn't expecting new locos to be anything other than more Siemens Chargers.#trains #viarail @trains

This special train runs in the western state of Rajasthan. This was off-season for the train [mainly folks take it during the rainy season]. I happened to be the sole passenger in the train in both UP and DN directions.

In this image, one can see the lonely platform where the train is waiting for loco reversal.

Amtrak Airo (en.wikipedia.org)
submitted 3 months ago by to c/trains@lemmy.ml

Amtrak Airo is a new class of intercity, high-speed passenger trainsets being built by Siemens Mobility for Amtrak. The trainsets are based on the Siemens Charger ALC-42E locomotives and Siemens Venture passenger cars, and are intended to replace older equipment used on the Northeast Corridor and state-supported routes throughout the United States.

Service is expected to start on the Cascades in late 2026. Service on the Northeast Regional is expected in 2027, and on the Carolinian, Downeaster, Keystone, Palmetto, Pennsylvanian, and Vermonter in 2029. Service is expected to start in 2030 on the Adirondack, Empire Service, Ethan Allen Express, and Maple Leaf.

Most Amtrak Airo trainsets are designed to operate on both electrified and non-electrified lines without the need to change locomotives. This is achieved through a hybrid configuration using a Siemens Charger ALC-42E diesel-electric locomotive and either an Auxiliary Power Vehicle (APV) or a battery car.

The APV will be used on trains that use track with overhead lines (catenary).

Taken from inside a running train. The last coach of the train was Vistadome as in having giant panoramic glass windows, making views effortless.

Under Merz, Germany is backtracking from rail (and thus from public services and climate)"Indeed, Merz said several times over the course of 2025 that "everything with finished plans will be built." However, the government appears to have quietly backed out of some of those promises, while simultaneously shifting more money towards building new highways."dw.com/en/germanys-rail-servic@trains
