Have you recovered?

So kinda like dlss?
(Or two!)
I have a powkiddy v90s because I saw it for super cheap. I already have a cubexx, and my daughter has a 35xx 2024, so I don't know what I'm gonna do with this
Seeing that pic of the deck brings back so many memories. I had actually forgotten what both the deck and the controller looked like.
Well, yeah... that's kinda the point with DroidDeck and GameNative... they don't stream, the games run locally.
And not a decade too late!
That's pretty cool. I have quite a few old systems I could hook up with that. I do remember having to do a two wire antenna to coax adapter with some of them.. I'd have to figure out something there. Thanks for the advice!
I just use the official Steam Link app to do this for Steam games. It even works on Pixel phones. Wouldn't use it for a fast-paced action game that required timing, tho, cuz the input lag is pretty noticeable. Mostly I just play Civilization through it.
Looks cool but very limited hardware support for now. Fortunately GameNative seems to run on whatever and deliver a similar experience. (Both of which I learned about thanks to articles from our own @PerfectDark@lemmy.world!)
Shining force games are great, but I'd argue better on an emulator to speed things up a bit. If you get stuck anywhere due to being under-leveled, just start a battle and egress before the end to repeat it.
I mostly otherwise played sonic and the like. I could never get my hands on phantasy star for some reason, so never really got into it, though it seems to be right up my alley.
If you don't care about how it looks on the TV, if you have composite (red-yellow-white), ba boom bang. But if you're a stickler, a retrotink is VERY expensive but they are very VERY good.
Oof, this will take time to unpack.

Good luck. How do you connect it to modern tvs? Also, you reminded me I didn't post my picture.
cries in Exynos
Theres a few options for this! I used GameNative a lot. If you own a handheld there might be a steamos-like Linux distro for it. I have an Odin Mini with armada os and it runs most indies well
Unlikely to work well on tensor, the mail GPU is weak af and known to have a really hard time with gaming
I type this from my grapheneos pixel. It's a real bummer but snapdragon reigns supreme in this area
I love to see passionate people working on the slightly more niche retro systems. The 3DO has tons of great, but also strange and unique, games.
What do the system requirements mean? Is this Qulcomm Adreno processors only? Or is it going to work on my Tensor G3?
Ugh I can't wait. I have a duo coming today and I've been running cocoon on my 4 pro hut I'm excited to see what its like on a dual screen device. I much prefer cocoon over iisu too, I was having issues with scraping in iisu that cocoon doesn't have.
It's been ages since I've played.
But I don't believe the missing shard indicates which one you're missing.
You'll need to revisit each boss. I can't remember if it'll be solid yellow or flashing if unclaimed.

BMX XXX
Me and some other nerds in my high school horded a pile of "forbidden" games, either games that were banned in the UK or just edgy shit most places wouldn't sell to 11-14yos.
Our friend with a JTAG'd Xbox got a copy of BMX XXX and invited us round to witness it. You'd think we were meeting to watch a snuff film the way we talked about it. Ended just up being a pretty mid game with mild nudity you'd already catch on late night TV.
I still get a chuckle anytime someone brings up that game because of that.
I bet if i had a whole datacenter I could finally play Crysis at full resolution.
Oh, hey, I'm pretty sure this is the game Punchy covered a while ago! I'm sure he'll be glad to be yet again proven wrong that the game he thought would never get an English translation did in fact get an English translation.
Dang. That Voodoo card was my gateway drug into upgrading my PC. Such awesome memories...
