...more qualified for their jobs

It's always the same problem, who decides what the qualifications are? Age and natural born citizen don't seem like too big a burden, but even there some want to relax.

Also, education opportunities are not equal, as we all know. So, right from the start we're filtering out a big class of people. Once you say they need a lettered degree, you're saying more than half are unqualified, and that they should be predominately white males with money.

So, now the universities control who could possibly become President. Don't want a Socialist President? Don't give a Socialist a degree. It's much easier to filter them out at that level.

  • The official answer is "liability"... before giving any medical advice a doctor will want to see the patient in person to get a holistic view before attempting to diagnose the 'obvious' issue.

The real answer is "money"... can't charge for an office visit if you don't visit the office.

I mean, health problems can happen whenever. It’s more likely as you get older, but tons of people have serious illnesses as young people. By that logic, should you just give up on life because you might get sick?

To actually answer your question, there’s a lot of stuff in the world that I really want to see and experience, and intend to do that as long as I possibly can. Definitely before I’m 50, but hopefully after as well. Yeah, maybe I have some things that crop up and make me need to modify my lifestyle, but I think if you’re trying to live somewhat healthy, 50 is young enough to get out in the world and do some living still. I wanna be there for that.

Twitter memes? Brain eating parasites? Maybe they just like the uniforms. I honestly have no idea. I just had to listen to a coworker rant about how their kids weren’t patriotic enough on 4th of July, which turned into a second rant about how awful all other countries are. It gave me the impression they don’t really consider non-americans to be human. So maybe when we see “slaughtering innocent people”, they see it as top athletes pushing the envelope in their sport

It's usually a screenshot of some other platform, like Twitter, or Instagram, which is much easier than copying and pasting and then explaining that it was found somewhere else. No one is going to take the time to transcript a screenshot. An image of text also implies that it's not OP speaking, which is sometimes used to avoid being responsible for what is said. Also, more people will read an image of text than text.
