I’d make the point that most software projects, vibe coded or otherwise, are abandoned. I’ve made a ton of hand coded projects that I just am done with after a while. Vibe coding can increase your total output, but I don’t believe it means the person who created it won’t maintain it.

Ok folks, this is the third report I’ve gotten about these kinds of posts, so let me address this in a pin.

I know we have a rabid anti-ai crowd here, and while that’s not my view, I respect yours and you are allowed to feel any way you’d like about AI projects posted here and say what you’d like as well, as long as you stay respectful.

The reports I keep getting are:

this content needs AI flair, it’s required.

I’m gonna need some help understanding this one. I’ve read the sidebar (I helped write it after all), and I’ve read the Lemmy.world rules in general. There is no mention of that “requirement”, and further, how the hell do you flair a post?!

I’m always happy to find out I’m the idiot and misinformed, so mystery reporter, please feel free to enlighten me here or in DM. In the meantime though, I don’t want to receive AI content reports here. If it’s on topic, it’s staying.

I am. I don’t know what that has to do with a tone deaf post celebrating the downfall of a specific segment of the American working class. Is this somehow a virtue off, where I need to show I’m worthy of not being mocked for being phased out of my career?

Do you need receipts of my political contributions, or pictures of me protesting? Like what do you actually expect me to say in response to your original question?

Every state office in Texas flipped last night. Texas is a blue state now. They’re ALL gone. Governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, railroad commissioner (yes this matters), Supreme Court justices. If they were up for reelection, they got beat last night by democrats.

I think this election more than any other I’ve seen in my life proves voting matters. The entirety of Texas state leadership flipped to blue. People had enough of the hateful rhetoric, the meaningless wars, and probably gas prices had a bit to do with it as well.

Hey there, I’d be willing to do this.

I’ve been a mod on /c/fediverse@lemmy.world for over three years (my whole time on the instance) and I think I’ve done a pretty decent job. I prefer a light touch in general and I think my behavior as a mod these last few years backs that up.

In terms of what I want to see, spirited discussion while still staying respectful. I don’t intend to post a ton, but I’m definitely active reading reports daily.
