Summer hat (lemmy.world)
submitted 3 days ago by to c/crochet@lemmy.ca

I followed this video.
My hat is made from one roll/skein.
If I had more material I would've added about 1 or 2 more rounds. Same with the color, two tones definitely worth going for.
I'm very happy with the results.

magic pot holder (www.marchingnorth.com)

Have you done this? Last night i was feeling like making something but didn't have the brain power to really take on a project. Someone on a Facebook crochet page (probably ravelry) mentioned this. Easy, useful, quick, and you can kind of pick a stitch. I think it's written for single but I did HDC.

I’ve been working on this crochet waffle!

I saw a ghost and a cat (I belive) at hoby lobby and I just had to make them myself. And I wanted a lil pumpkin also. So those patterns were made on the spot. (Start from bottom with massive increase and then decrease it slowly every 3~4 rows or so).

The spider pattern was from the web.

I'm going to try to do my first ever market to sell my crochet goods. It'll be a Halloween Festival in a small town. Does anyone have any suggestions for good things to make that people will want to buy?

Finished blanket (mander.xyz)
submitted 1 month ago by to c/crochet@lemmy.ca

Blanket is all done. 100 granny squares (3 rows dc with 4th row hdc), joined with a zipper join, and a sc plus dc border. Final measurements are 42 x 42 inches. I'm not sure but I want to say it took me two months since I was working on this during the July Sumo Basho.

Finished blanket consisting of 100 granny squares. Each square has a center that varies in color from minty green to deep blue. The outer edge of each square is tan in color. The joins and outer border are the same tan color.

I finally made it to 90 out of 100 squares for this blanket. I got 10 squares left and then I can start joining everything. This project hasn't taken me as long as I thought but at least I have the next blanket already lined up.

Would anyone want to test this axolotl pattern i made?

It went:

planning- NONE

counting- SOME

impulsivity - LOTS

i made it a little too big but whatever.

Hi all, I like charts rather than written patterns, esp as i do a lot of Granny Squares. Can anyone recommend a good free chart tool. I prefer browser rather than mobile.

I tried stitch fiddle but its a matter of placing every stitch manually. I was hoping i could kinda say R1, 12 x DC, and it would populate R1 as a circle of DCs.

Tiny Crochet Whale (leminal.space)

A tiny project I've been working on while my hands haven't been doing great

I am quite a beginner, and this is my first 3D crochet project. I fell in love with Marrakesh-style lampshades but couldn't find a pattern, so I tried to figure out one based on the general instructions from this page (project 5). The shade is worked entirely in single crochet using a 50/50 cotton/polyester macramé yarn. It has three metal rings crocheted directly into the fabric for structure. I kept things simple: whenever I increased or decreased, I always did it every 12 stitches. To change the angle, I alternated increase/decrease rounds with plain rounds, but I feel the profile could be smoother. The next version will be made with 100% cotton yarn. I'd love some advice on shaping. Is there a better way to decide where and how often to increase or decrease to get a smoother shape? Right now I mostly guessed and experimented.

Dice Bag! (media.piefed.social)

I made a dice bag last weekend using this pattern. I was tired of using a plastic bag to hold my dice and now get to dig through a nice soft bag for that perfect d20 instead!

I got this kit, just to try out a granny square blanket (8x9 squares).
This is a never again pattern, and never again yarn. This is never again for sure, not going back in 6-10 years like cross-stitch. :)

I think granny squares with a single color sounds like a fun and relaxing crochet. And if you like this kinda patterns my total respect for you!

I'm happy, now I am done with the squares. This will be a very small but nice blanket at the end.

Gonna take a while (media.piefed.social)

I really should stop doing patterns that go up to hiiigh numbers for a round. This one takes me to 84 stitches, and that little blob in the pic is 66. What we don't do to get a cute companion raccoon.

The goal is that wonderful thing: https://eserehtanin.blogspot.com/2016/11/the-silent-raccoon.html?m=1

A bag with yarn, a sheet with instructions, a small leather purse with needles and markers, and a small work in progess - still flat and far off the required 84 stitches for a whole raccoon head

Stardew Valley crochet book!! (stardewvalleybooks.com)

Each coloured band represents the genre of a nook I read this year. Purple is fantasy, pink is romantasy, teal is scifi and red is romance. I was just learning to crochet when I started, so I made some mistakes and choices at the beginning I wouldn't now, but it doesn't need to be perfect. This covers the 36 books I read through june, and it's just over 6' long! No idea where I'm going to store/display it when I'm done!

I crocheted this romper using a pattern from Etsy.

I like how it fits the Barbie Curvy body the most, although it also fits the standard Barbie body and the MengF body.
