Email the group, "Some of us took the survey links we were sent and swapped them with each other, will that be a problem?"

Make management try and explain why you need to use your specific personal link for the anonymous survey.

$5 says it eventually turns out the AI, trained on historical police behaviour, flags cars as suspicious more often if the driver's black.

You don't have to tell it anything about the driver, it'll guess based on the car's location, make, model, colour and age. AI is really great at spotting patterns, even when you try to stop it.

Let's make a deal, I'll adjust the brightness so I can just see the logo if you guarantee everything I'm supposed to see is brighter than that logo.

I've followed that instruction and then gotten stuck because areas I'm supposed to be able to navigate are pitch black.

Imagine if all the people who could work from home were allowed to.

A lot of people can't, but they'd have the roads all to themselves. Everybody wins, other than the people who own property downtown, but they make the decisions so we can't do it.

Unless some sort of external event forces the issue and then we can do it and it works great but we have to go back to the office ASAP because of reasons.

The advantage to Steam going 64-bit is that most people can now remove all their 32-bit libraries.

Previously you needed 32-bit libraries for most of the actual games you ran through Steam, so it didn't really matter if Steam used them too.

there is this running gag that furries are mostly made up of computer geeks who are in rather advanced positions within different digital fields

The joke I heard is that a plane going to a furry convention crashing would cripple the IT industry.

    1. The feedback window decided to annoy me by popping up by itself.

    2. I figured I might as well complain about the weather radar taking more clicks to access the information I want.

    3. The feedback window broke because the BOM site now relies on scripts from Google's reCAPTCHA service which my browser blocks by default. Yes, I know this is mostly on me, but it was just the icing on the cake.
