I think we already have the answer. steam does not do anticompetitive practices.

I think you should do a little bit of research on this. Even just a tiny little bit. Literally the smallest non-zero amount will do.

This argument always brings out the armchair lawyer in folks, but they miss the point entirely. It's not about what's legal (especially when the notion of "legal" has been shaped by years and years of lobbying by big corporates), it's about what's good for consumers. And an 85% market share is a huge risk to consumers. It's as plain as day.

That’s what we said all the way.

Yes, to your credit you probably said this, and a whole bunch of folks with you. But I've been in plenty of conversations with folks who outright deny that Biden is fully complicit in the Gaza genocide, or even worse, acknowledge this but then go "no biggie!"

I think you're being too sensitive. Obviously there are some opinions that are overrepresented here, and that's a real undenyable thing you'll have in any community, and that's what OP is asking about. Hivemind makes for a more catchy title than "opinions held by either a majority or at least a very vocal subset of the community".

What the heck? They're one of the most patient posters on here! They always back up their claims with sources and actual arguments. I much prefer it to the more common way of arguing here, which is to build a strawman, attack that, and then when presented with real arguments either drop off or say some prejorative about leftists or liberals, and then drop off. Cowbee is one of the better things about lemmy.

I really don't think your post is acceptable. It's some personal vendetta type stuff, it feels abusive. I think it's ok to acknowledge that leftists are loud here and that it generally bothers you, and plenty of people do, and you won't hear me about it. But to focus on one specific poster like this is pretty toxic.
