You are Marie, a cyborg mercenary dropped into the rot of a post-Soviet city of corruption and opportunity. Shoot, sneak, hack, climb or talk your way through alt-history cyberpunk Poland in an immersive sim where every problem has multiple solutions and every rooftop is reachable.

Shodanon has been fairly consistent in his statements that Peripeteia devs will never support a product that uses genAI.

So boring... can't wait for people who b1tch about AI not being able to tell the difference 18 months from now.

except we'll be able to tell and will never support any product that uses it.

Go consoom your slop somewhere else.

Also, this is a new account that posted this right after signing up. Twice, for some reason, I removed the duplicated post. Plus, the social media profiles and the Steam page place too much emphasis on the fact that this game is 'NO AI.'

I suspect this might be an AI rip-off of the game you mentioned, but I'm not entirely sure.

Looks amazing, wow. Added to my library.

It is an independent Italian publishing house that publishes books (mainly loreGB ones, but also essays), TTRPGs, comics, and manga. They bring together a wide variety of authors under their umbrella. If you're interested, I recommend checking out Dogma's videos about Vermis or Godhusk. I've posted both of them in the community.

I think it's mostly the former. When you launch an old game, you can be sure it was created by a human. However, games released in the last couple of years are always a gamble.

That said, no one is stopping you from posting old games. It's just not the community's main focus.

    Hello, everyone.

Here's the newsletter from Hollow Press (not in Hollow Blog nor Atom feed yet) announcing the release of the House of Anomalies by Super Eyepatch Wolf. Reposting this one as et seems like it wasn't federated properly.

    !!!PREORDER!!!

This product will be released officially in end of November 2026.

Since we expect a large amount of orders, we are sure to ship within 15th of December 2026 ONLY the collector edition, even if we will give our best to also ship as many copies possible of the regular edition within that date.

Anyway the regular edition delivery of this item is guaranteed within January 2027.

hey souls, after this preorder disclaimer, before to start to talk about this new, and until now secret project by the great Super Eyepatch Wolf, I have another important disclaimer for you all living in the USA

USA SHIPPINGS IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER As you already know, to ship in the USA from Europe was a bit tricky in last few months, since it's 100% sure that books are duty free in USA and they are also free of extra duties like "general surcharge from february" and the substitute "labour tariff from July" as informational materials.

But as many of you noticed, even if we put out super precise invoices to avoid mistakes by US customs operators, they were still doing a lot of mistakes, about 10-20% of our shippings, and to dispute those not due tariff was too tricky and annoying by your side when it happened.

Somebody of you suggested to try to change courier, and it's something we are considering, but not actually, since it would make sense only if we can imrpove in some way the customs process with them, probably UPS would be even worst than Fedex, so we are also talking with DHL, but it's tricky because much more expensive and yoi would pay higher shipping costs buying fom us.

Said that, we are still working with Fedex, at the moment, BUT:

FROM AUGUST ON, ALL OUR SHIPPINGS ARE THROUGH DDP SYSTEM this means that EVENTUAL DUTIES BY MISTAKES WILL BE PAID DIRECTLY BY HOLLOW PRESS, AND NOT BY YOU ANYMORE! 100% SURE!

We thought this was the best thing to do, we will struggle with thousands of disputes, a hell, but we really thought it was the right thing to do, to thank you all for the huge support you ALWAYS gave us from the USA. Thank you! Again!

and finally now, let's talk about insane avantgarde ART instead! What we love and live for...

House of Anomalies is the new series by Super Eyepatch Wolf,

after the huge success of his The Bizarre World of Fake Videogames,

If you haven't read it yet, you can get a copy HERE,

he talked to us about this new crazy/meta/liminal project,

and obviously, as avantgarde art lovers we were in!

    Hello!

I noticed that there was no community on Lemmy similar to r/vermis, so I created one. It's dedicated to books by Plastiboo, such as Vermis and Godhusk, as well as other books (and games too) published by Hollow Press (Age of Rot, Mock Soul, How to Bake a Breadling, etc.)

If you're interested in offbeat literature, dark fantasy or tabletop RPGs, then I invite you to join!

    !hollowpress@leminal.space

This is my brief review of all four Plastiboo books published by Hollow Press. I'll be discussing the books not in chronological order, but however I like.

This review contains no spoilers, except for a very minor one, so you can read it even if you're not familiar with the books.

    Vermis II

The second book in the Vermis series and, in my opinion, the best installment. It differs most significantly from both the first and third books in that it is more narratively focused on the journey of a specific character. It has no choices and significantly fewer gameplay elements, such as loot descriptions and the like, but it tells the story excellently and reveals new lore details.

SPOILER ALERTThe typical character creation screen appears at the very end, after the Wayfarer's story has concluded, which, from a game design perspective, might suggest that what came before was, in a sense, a prologue to the main game? Personally, I prefer the idea that the player was given the chance to create a character at the end of the Wayfarer's story, after which the closing credits would roll. That would have been a powerful move.

    Vermis I

The first part of the series has its own unique atmosphere. It's short, distinctive, and wonderful in its own way. I can't say too much about it, except that it’s an excellent book with an interesting plot and beautiful illustrations.

    Godhusk

Godhusk differs from Vermis in many ways right off the bat. First, it makes it very clear what kind of game this could be (it's a Metroidvania). Second, there are multiple endings(!), which is really cool for loreGB and reminded me of those old choose-your-own-adventure books with page-turn options. Third, it's not fantasy but sci-fi. More specifically, a mix of biopunk and divine machinery.

This is an unusual book with interesting artistic choices that feels most like a guide to a long-lost video game due to its abundance of gameplay mechanics, interactions, and multiple endings. I also like Plastiboo's art style here. Art is very important in books of this genre, and back in the day, the art style deterred me from buying Bubzium and Final Fentanyl, cause it was quite specific and not particularly appealing to me personally.

    Vermis III

The final book (as of this review) in the Vermis series. For me, it's one big contradiction.

On the one hand, it's clear that Plastiboo has significantly improved his artistic skills over the years: this book features the best artwork in the entire series. There are also more game guide elements here, such as descriptions of loot, game mechanics, maps, and interactions seem to be about three times more abundant than in the first book. The world has also become more interesting, as has the protagonist's journey (compared to the first book).

However, the book offers almost nothing new compared to its predecessors. The first book laid the foundation for the genre, and the second told a very interesting and cohesive story. The third, on the other hand, seems to be trying to take the first book and simply make it bigger. Is that a bad thing though? No, not at all. Even though it's the weakest book in the series, it still deserves a solid 7.5 out of 10 if I had to rate it.

    Conclusion

Thank you for reading my thoughts. If you've read any books by Plastiboo, please share your opinion, I'd love to hear it. As for me, I'm about to start reading How to Bake a Breadling while I wait for my copy of Age of Rot to arrive.
