The Overton window has been shifting to the right for 60 years because the "opposition" party keeps looking to court right wing votes and offers no challenge to capitalism. The Democrat party wasn't even in full support of gay marriage until like 2012.

The "vote for the lesser evil, do nothing else, and never demand the party move left" option has seen the Overton window shift right consistently, yet here we are, hearing the same things again from the same people and you're saying actually the opposite of this strategy will happen now for some reason.

People voted for "hope and change" in 2008 and got Barrack Obama and a Heritage Foundation health care reform. Then the reaction brought Trump.

Vote in more milquetoast liberals, and don't be shocked when worse fascists start gaining ground because your candidates fail to even address the fundamental problem (capitalism), much less tackle it.

Yep. Trump is America. He's the president this country deserves, and that is apparent from his ability to win twice.

Anyone who thinks he could only win through some type of cheating we haven't caught is clearly not hanging out in the living rooms in red states and counties

People trying to argue that their mortgages are still functionally ownership or that without mortgages you'd have to pay "cash value" really show how propagandized people are. Can't even imagine a economic system where land is distributed differently outside of what they know.

The concept of mortgages is inherently tied to the concept of private property. And yes your lender bank is a boot on top of you.

"Debt incumbent home owners don't go on strike".

Sure, but the alternative is often "condemn every implementation of socialism except the failed experiments in Ukraine and Catalonia or else you're a red fascist".

Left unity is just supposed to be about focusing on building communism over sectarianism. Going into that space and immediately starting to go on a tirade about China or something is pretty much the same thing this post is about but from the other side.

I don't disagree with your point or POV, but you went to an anarchist comm and confronted them over their distaste for China. They're allowed to mod their comm against ML discourse. There are plenty of other spaces for MLs or left unity on these instances.

It's better to let them have their spaces then antagonize. Catch more flies with honey, etc etc
