But did the Mice have fun?
I kinda do love saying that sarcastically though. But with the context that I'm vegan and really dislike the sad little side salads that some restaurants offer as their only vegan option. Gimme some lentils or beans dammit!
I don't remember Lemmy having an equivalent to r/frugalcirclejerk but if it did, this would be the perfect crosspost
Ugh, I hate that stupid Pop-Sci flavored "advice" too. Way too often it comes across as if the person giving it has absolutely no idea what ADHD is about and just spits something out that sounds about right to them.
As for resources, Dr Russell Barkley is pretty much the only source I respect. Especially this video: https://youtu.be/_tpB-B8BXk0
A point in there that I actually found really insightful is that when you have ADHD, you don't just struggle with delayed gratification but also with delayed punishment. So situations like you fucking up with time management and your friends just silently don't invite you somewhere a couple weeks later won't have any learning effect. So taking more accountability than normal and asking to be corrected right away might actually be the better path
Postman is a piece of shit software anyways, no one should have continued to use it once they "moved to the cloud" and forced everyone to make a postman account before they could use features that worked perfectly fine locally. Use Bruno instead.
I realized that I am not responsible enough to manage tabs, so I force myself to always close them all. Even set the Tabs on my phone to auto-close if I don't look at them for some time. If something is important, I should bookmark it (which I usually forget, but oh well)
We are living in unprecedented times. I had to learn JavaScript just to finance my rat habit..

To any trans girls who decided to peek into the comments:
What's actually the difference between X11 and Wayland? I always hear the latter is the more modern standard and that I should be switching to it, but also it feels like X11 is just way more stable and well supported, why can't I stay on there just a while longer?
Goddammit I just managed to fix my Displaylink drivers on the 7.3 kernel
God I wish I had two rats
Idk man. I've certainly become more lenient in Code Reviews because I have to do like 5 a day instead of 2-3 a week, all with like 2k lines of changes. I literally don't have the time to fully read tests anymore, I mostly just skim them and check whether they have an assess statement that looks somewhat reasonable.
Hell, I've recently had a meatpuppet of a coworker brag about how his implementation of a Card component for the UI library had 199 tests. I'm so glad I wasn't assigned to review that shit. But it sure looks great to the higher-ups 🫠
Hopefully working on the Linux Kernel doesn't suck as much as working for a big corp.
Loved following your apple journey. I actually picked up a box of Pink Ladies myself last week to see if the score is valid, and I agree that they're overrated af. I can see how people would like their slight sourness but I apparently do not appreciate it at all. I would have a Gala or a Red Delicious over a Pink Lady any day of the week.
The best apple I ever had was a Jonagored, which is apparently a mutated Jonagold. Guess it's too niche for the apple ranking website
yeah dude sure, just upload your fucking database to an online service to edit it. I don't even care anymore, whatever.
You can write VR games in Javascript. https://immersiveweb.dev/
Figure out how that makes you feel and you'll have your answer on whether JS is right for you.
Unless they're really bad at riding their bike of course
I was using a semi-standard set of Four Fours rules that allows Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division, Concatenation (i.e. 44), Decimal points ( .4), Factorial, Square root and Exponentiation.
The operand I was missing was the overline.
