Deep Space Nine co-creator and co-executive producer Michael Piller was an avid baseball aficionado who amassed tens of thousands of baseball trading cards in his lifetime. His mother, songwriter Ruth Roberts, created the "It's a Beautiful Day for a Ball Game" theme song for the Los Angeles Dodgers and "Meet the Mets" for the New York Mets.

There's such a marginal difference in these upgrades

Yeah that's always how it goes.

Like you, I'll use my 8 pro until it gets too old to do the things I want it to. Screw updating ever year or two, what a waste if money.

Ah yes, the most low effort, maximum margin of game releases (aka remasters) can now be created with even less effort and greater margins thanks to AI.

Yeah, and they announced they're gonna make EAC v2. It's going to be fun running vibe coded garbage with root privileges (or whatever, I don't play their games so I glossed over the details)

Which is unfortunate because I was waiting on a pr that was going to fix the screenshot tool and the dude had an ai disclosure in their pr so it was closed. 😔

As the title says, when I'm logged in and I click the next button, it takes anywhere from 5 to 15 seconds (or more I stopped counting) to load the next page.

I've tested in Firefox and Chromium (control browser since I never use it).

    In both browsers:

If I browse lemmy.ca without being logged in, the "next" pages load correctly, but as soon as I login, the main page for each category (Local, Subscribed, All) loads normally but going to the next page (https://lemmy.ca/?dataType=Post&listingType=Local&pageCursor=P43a511a&sort=New) has huge load times.

Clearing all cache for lemmy.ca doesn't seem to have any impact.

I've done some limited testing on voyager.lemmy.ca and alex.lemmy.ca and while logged in, the load times of the infinite scroll looks reasonable (sub 1s).

Is there a known issue with the default frontend? Is my user borked and I need to create a new one?

    EDIT

    1. It looks like Subscribed filter is working way better today (it wasn't before), but Local is still slow.

    2. Here's a look at the devtools network tab (after clicking Next button)
