Proxmox exclusively with unprivileged LXCs, which themselves host other docker containers/stacks managed with Dockhand (a more modern alternative to both Portainer and Dockge). I have a very tiny low power machine so I have to be kind with my resources, therefore no VMs. But LXCs are simpler anyway. I can easily pass devices like /dev/tun for tailscale and i forget the name of the iGPU for accelerated workloads (for Immich, Nextcloud).

Reasoning: with containers it's easy to make mistakes without dire consequences (just docker compose down -v and start over). The LXCs are easy to back up and restore. They hold internal running state of whatever docker containers I run in them.

Pro tip: don't map host paths using the UI (mp0 etc), use lxc.mount instead. This will let you continue to have snapshots of your LXCs whereas the other approach makes your LXC incompatible with snapshots.

Good luck!

It also doesn't matter if they say they ruled it out and then do it anyway. Their cult worships them no matter what. I just saw a woman whose kid was murdered by ICE and she still supports Trump. Also his fans love the Iran war. The propaganda doesn't even matter anymore, which is why it's so sloppy and lazy, because their base will eat it up no matter what. They're have complete faith in Trump. Hell, they'll make up their own propaganda in their heads at this point, justifying literally anything.

I think the open version might not have the ms extension store configured. There should be a separate AUR package for that. At least there is for VSCodium. Alternately you can just grab the VSIX for the extensions you want from the MS version and install them on the open one. Personally I don't know what open vss is so I use codium.

He's also not a billionaire. Him and Jimmy Wales are true heroes of our time. Their work has shaped the modern world yet their fortunes are nowhere near even a single billion. It seems almost absurd and dumb on their part that they didn't even make 1 billion in decades given their impact, but turns out that's just the normal rate of accumulation when you don't just sell out or steal the work of others.

I keep hoping that all the demonic shit Aaron Rupar is covering will eventually push him to the left. I'm amazed how he can still be a milquetoast lib while being constantly exposed to evil.
