No I get money while working less. You are the fool. The change is inevitable, the economy needs less and less real programmers. I cannot influence it, it will happen no matter how you hate it. And meanwhile I'm working on the B plan.

And I'm self-employed it's not a big corporate space.

Currently the market allows me to run the AI then do something else meanwhile, and still counting 8 hours work, and meanwhile delivering more than before with less work. It's my personal Claude subscription and it doesn't cost much. As long as it works and worth it I will use it.

There are features in the app where code quality doesn't matter, like a status page in admin panel. I can regenerate any time with a good prompt.

And sometimes there are stuff where I need to use my coding experience, because it's too unique feature. But still I'm faster, not just feeling faster.

Calling is something that works in e.g. Postmarket OS. The trickier parts are NFC payments, lack of apps. So it comes with huge drawbacks. Some apps can even require that your device is verified by google and you have no way of hijacking it.

Proprietary camera software is also a huge thing. Software can do so much thing and you pay for the software also, not just the hardware but you lose the software when you install something other than the factory default.

And battery optimization is very young in desktop grade linux OSes, you won't get that good battery life as with android.

I used vim, vim based stuffs, spacemacs, jetbrains, netbeans, atom etc... Now I use mainly claude code, sometimes, rarely I also open vscode. Shame because I know a lot of shortcuts, but not needed.
