Okay, so I know that a lot of venture capital or whatever likes to buy a company then just turn it into a husk of its former self, but how the hell do these companies profit from this shit?
Insert that comic from a few weeks ago of an AI CEO, an interviewer, and an anti ai person.
God I hate these people. I don't understand these people. If this shit works the way they say it does then the economy collapses because no one can work, and if it doesn't then the economy collapses because AI sucked up all the oxygen in the room. One way or another they're just fucking everyone for the justification that they can. They actively believe that if it gets loose then we have to fight terminators and they keep going ahead with no qualms. One of those dumb fucks even said that we should stop writing stories about AI taking over the world so that their AI doesn't get any ideas. No fuck off, we should not have to change our culture to accommodate your new toy's fucking "feelings" and if it genuinely was actually intelligent (it fucking is not) then it would be able to figure out to do skynet itself.
Fucking hell I hate these people.
Don't feel bad, I found out yesterday with a meme in the star trek community about shatner out living Stewart.
There was a field day with this format for Kissinger. I imagine when it happens there will be another wonderful field day
When I was fired my boss just told me to come with him for a minute. Knew right then I was being fired. He lead me down to the conference room and HR is sitting there only cementing my thought.
Like everyone is saying it's the process and the humanity, but it's also the style. Clankers just produce the most generic looking art. Seriously how many of these slop memes have you seen where it looks exactly like this?
There's soul to the human touch. Watch Bob Ross right now cog-sucker. The mistakes and imperfections he explicitly calls happy little accidents
As a kid I remember wishing radio shack was a more general consumers electronics store. As an adult I really wish I had easy access to the stuff they sold, like I've had a lot of projects that need a random transistor or whatever.
I was too young to appreciate them for what they were and they went out of business before I could.
Except Altoona.
googles
From wikipedia:
The definitive characteristics of Altoona-style pizza are a Sicilian-style pizza dough, tomato sauce, sliced green bell pepper, salami, a topping of American cheese and pizzas cut into squares instead of wedges
Yeah that american cheese bit is really killing it.
Yeah, I wish more people knew about detroit style, I love the crispy crust, but I'm not starting any fights over NY or Chicago pizzas. Pizza is pizza and bad pizza is better than no pizza.
Ngl, anthem was a lot of fun mechanically. Great Iron Man sim
Let it die (F2P) had to shut down its servers, and afterwards released a single player offline version you had to pay for.
It's certainly better than nothing and at least lets people continue to enjoy the game.
I mean being better than the states is not a high bar. I say this as an american.
I mean, I'm not trans, soooooo goodbye England. Sorry England, but also let's be honest, you deserve this.
Yeah, my dad trys so hard to get me into watching the blues play or go to a boring ass baseball game. Yes they're fun for him but my god there's nothing going on, hell in baseball for half the game they aren't even playing.
My older sister took her life 13 days before her 31st birthday. That was over 8 years ago and I just turned 31. Please reach out, say you love someone.
There are wounds that never truely heal.
Yeah, still didn't want to go. But no I wasn't being robbed of anything other than doing real work at work which I would have rather done. Still hated every minute of it.
While I still think it was outrageous, you had to actually take the day off to not attend. They were very open your options are attend or take the day off using PTO.
We made conveyer belts. I see no relation between that and baseball. At least when making F1 engines there's a clear correlation to race cars.
Yeah, last year at my last job they had a mandatory baseball game we had to attend. You could skip it if your boss aprovef you skipping otherwise you had to use PTO to not attend. So glad I'm not there anymore they used to regularly hold meetings that could be summerized with HR just flipping everyone the bird for 45 minutes.
The only people walking away right now with money are the hardware manufacturers.
