I don't know what a webui is, I've only seen it run as a desktop application. A FOSS alternative is Bruno.

Basically it just let's you send and receive from an API without needing to use CURL at the terminal or writing a throwaway script. I have not found it very useful but it is very popular

    I have replaced the $30 drain pump twice already, and the same issue has popped up again. Is their some type of maintenance or cleaning I should be doing that might prevent the pump failing yet again?

    The filter trap at the bottom looks the normal amount of yucky, mostly dog hair.

    My wife is going to want to buy a new machine when I tell her that it broke again, and I don't think I can argue my case a third time! Worse, she'll want a new dryer too so that they match.

    It's an WM2101HW, if that helps. The serial number starts with a zero, which supposedly indicates that it was built in a year ending in a 0, so it is either 16 or 26 years old, which I suppose is a good run.

    Running Nixos with Gnome, and I have Piper with libratbag for my Logitech many button mouse.

    I'd like to toggle a pair of keyboard keys up and down together via a mouse button. Hit the mouse button: both keyboard keys are pressed and stay pressed. Hit it again: both keyboard keys come unpressed.

    Piper doesn't seen to support it, and I was looking at the Gnome accessibility settings without success.

    Happy for suggestions!

    At a small restaurant in Tennessee, USA.

    I don't like that they asked an LLM to graphic design the entire menu, but why in the name of robot jesus did they look at the result and say "great. Love it. Print 100 copies."

    The food pictures made me physically ill. They're really upsetting! I told the Waitress, who agreed that the pics were awful, and the manager/owner(?) who didn't seem to care.

    There are LLM inconsistencies all over, too, like icons changing from page to page.

    I'm not sure if this is a Lemmy problem (I'm a Sh.itjust.works local) or a Voyager one.

    As long as I have used Voyager, maybe a year, I have seen two problems that cause some posts refuse to leave my Home feed.

    1. Sometimes posts that I saw and voted on months or weeks ago come back to my Home feed and I need to try to make Voyager recognize them as "read". I click on the post, and go to the comments, and remove my habitual upvote and put it back.

    2. Sometimes a post from the last day or two refuses to leave the Home feed no matter what I do. I vote several times, follow the link/view the full image several times, and check the comments a few times.

    Why are these posts sticky!

    Hey. Starting relatively recently, when I wake from sleep, some windows (mostly the file explorer Gnome Files) are blurry as in the screenshot. Moving the window or passing the cursor over the blurry area often helps, but sometimes I need to close the window and re-open it.

    Here are the sections of my various .nix files that look relevant. I'm worried I have a bad video card!

        nvidia.modesetting.enable = true;
        nvidia.powerManagement.enable = false;
        nvidia.open = false;
        nvidia.nvidiaSettings = true;

    Below is what looks like the relevant part of my restore from suspend from dmesg. Let me know if I can provide anything else helpful!

    I use a password manager personally, but my work uses a different application. Both common names in this space.

    Android lets me set one password filler, but I don't see how to go about having two active, if that's even possible.

    Ideally, I'd like to keep the application/web credentials for work in the work password manager, and everything else in my personal one, and get recommendations/autofill from only the one with a matching app ID or URL saved.

    Any tips?

    I have both installed, but opening the work password manager every time I need it is annoying.

    My nightstand lights are connected to a surge protector plugged into a Zigbee smart plug plugged into a dumb wall outlet controlled by a single dumb wall switch.

    I have the smart plug set to default=On, so the wall switch works fine, and I can also turn the lights off from my phone or via an automation. All good so far.

    What I WANT is to be able to turn the lights ON without getting out of bed, and irrespective of the position of the switch.

    I tried putting a second smart plug in the switch-controlled outlet and making an automation to toggle the surge protector's smart plug when the switch's empty smart plug powers off/on via the wall switch, but it looks like it's not simple to detect a Zigbee device "disappearing". I found some integrations that detect zigbee devices disappearing, but those seemed more for running health checks to detect and repair moved devices than for live detection.

    Any suggestions?

    Edit:

    Looks like a relay behind the switch will be my best bet. Thank you all!
