"I wish things were more exciting in politics."
The graphics make it seem really life-like. The story feels pretty unrealistic though- fucking SI? What is this, an SNL skit?
I thought it was pretty suspicious that Reiga apparently gifted an incense pot that's in use when Gabi loses it. I figured she was cursed, and that now she has the bow-that-breaks curses she'll eventually realize something happened even if not exactly what.
These concerns aren’t just hypothetical. The Washington Post recently identified 46 cases where police officers have been accused of using Flock technology for unauthorized purposes, including to stalk their wives, girlfriends, or exes.
After listening to an interview with one of the alleged victims, Langley told CBS News, “I apologize. It kills me that she went through that.” At the same time, he insisted, “I don’t think that Flock created police abuse. I think we’re the first company to ever shine a light on it and build the tools to find it.”
Oh fuck off. You don't get to call yourself a hero for making a problem worse.
Caught sight of one painted like this the other day. No idea how to feel about it- it's somehow better and worse than the unpainted steel at the same time.

In recent years, Florida has sat on a pot of nearly $200 million it received from the federal government to add more EV chargers near highways. Even as most other states moved ahead with the program created by the bipartisan infrastructure law Congress passed in 2021, Florida lagged behind, frustrating EV advocates and gas stations that wanted to help build the chargers.
Now, the state is using that money for eVTOL projects, like an “Aerial Highway Network” that includes ports for the aircraft to charge, take off and land, according to documents obtained by the Miami Herald. It’s unclear if that’s the same project as the test track advancements DeSantis touted Monday.
Oh cool, they're doing it just to give a middle finger to EVs.
I largely enjoyed this movie, even if the ending felt tonely divorced from the central message being told through it. From the discourse I've seen online over it though, I was very much in the minority.
RTGame on YouTube has started doing a yearly watch-along of the major game conferences of 20 years ago. Xbox of 2005/2006 also had "1 billion" as a goal back then- they seriously claimed to be able to sell a billion Xbox 360s way back in the day.
(Also, obligatorily "-and Mario will never start shooting hookers." Nintendo was crazy back then.)
That last example is from the original Fallout game, which came out in the late 90s, not the 2020s.
My god this anime has been going forever. It's a good anime, don't get me wrong, but it's taken upwards of a half a decade to release the screentime of a regular anime season.
My step-dad got bit by one of these. He can only eat chicken now and it sucks.
That’s because it’s built to travel on roadways and bike lanes, leaving its fellow sidewalk crawlers in the dust.
This is a pretty concerning detail buried near the end. How safe is it to bikers to be sharing space with these kinds of things? And if they become more common, what stops them from crowding out the space entirely?
