As modders worked "volunteer hours in the spirit of bringing joy to the greater community,"

And each game is $5 on GOG right now (on sale) and they were put together by volunteer modders in the community? Seems shitty that EA is turning goodwill work into profit. But it's EA, what else can I expect?

  • STIR and SHAKEN are two tools to authenticate calls originate from the telecom they are officially registered with. The adoption of these attestation systems has been quite slow though.

It's frustrating that most cell phones don't have a way of blocking calls that don't have this attestation built in. But after adding a spam filter to my android that does, the number of spam calls that make it through are much, much lower.

Occasionally, I get a small business that doesn't have their PBX configured correctly and they can blocked. But it's few and far between.

It's not your place to police other drivers and their behavior. Nor is it mine. Slowing down if someone is tailgating pisses everyone off, and going under the speed limit can be just as dangerous as going over. It's a really easy way to cause a crash.

Drive predictably. If that means going the exact speed limit, fine. But far too often I am on the road with people who think going 25mph in a 45mph on a two lane road is safer.

I was reading a comment in a post today that was about becoming a regular at places was how to build community. The comment was from a disabled and moderately attractive (direct quote from the commenter) woman who said she avoided becoming a regular because people felt that they could take advantage of her if they knew her routine.

And it just made me sad. Nobody should have to go through that. Nobody should feel ostracized because they are afraid someone will abuse them.

I had, and for the most part still do, agree that it's generally good to become a regular at a place. But I hadn't thought of it from that woman's perspective before and I respect and understand her decision.

Yep. It's always fun being in the left field bleachers. They took a picture around the 3rd inning of everyone who got a beer out of it. We're all big fans of Ian Happ. I didn't get one of the beers, but they also do a huge pot luck on the last home game. Which is pretty awesome.

Bleacher Jeff is a good guy. They always are helping kids get a ball tossed to me after the warm up each inning. He's there in the same seat every game.

Why are all robot vacuums the same? They all have these tall as fuck charging stands.

I don't want to dedicate several square feet of wall space for a fucking charger and dust bin. What i do have, though, is a fucking couch with tons of free space around it. Instead of building the dust bin to go above the fucking robot, why hasn't ANYONE released one that is wide so it can go under a fucking couch or bed?

The fucking dock could be U shaped and the bin you remove to empty it would slide out forward instead of lifting up.
