Do you keep an up to date copy of all your games installers?

I have some games on GoG. But when I wanted to install games, I got their launcher installer. You need to go through some dark path to find the true installer. At least it was the case a couple years back.

Also a few month ago they putted an announce to hire someone to lead the Galaxy launcher. They explicitly asked for someone that would push the use of AI in their team.

I fear the moment they gain enough traction, the game won't be as easy to install DRM free. Their launcher will be the DRM, just like steam.

So yeah, they provide an escape hatch for now, but sadly other than that it looks to me they are more like Epic than Valve. I have not much trust for them.

(Maybe Humble Bundle stopping to provide DRM free download of the game + the steam key eaeliy on made me very skeptical of this?)

I'm french… she did not convinced me at all.

    1. You try to reduce the harm as much as you possibly can on the easiest way possible.
    2. Now that you have a, admittedly not great, gov that may hear a bit of what you said you can voice your disappointment to them.
    3. Voting for (or against) someone does not prevent you to organize and voice your discontent!
    4. So after the harm reduction go and try to steer the political debate where you want it to.

And yeah your bipartisan system in the USA is fucked up. I don't love our system here either.

Note: YOU are the one to choose which is the one who would cause the less harm. Or be the more willing to listen to you when confronting them.

On every embedded including a few IoT devices I worked on, every single time the IPv6 is either outright disabled, ignored, or treated like IPv4 even when telling my client what they want is not how IPv6 is designed.

May not be the same everywhere, just my anecdotal experience.

    Also remember:

The 'S' in IoT stands for security.

Which workarous? They just want JS access to the clipboard and it is rightfully blocked by Firefox.

The correct workaround is to not use JS to access the clipboard and suddenly everything work as intetended as if the browser already does the right thing.

Do nothing and it works, some call that magic 🌌

Well, I'm on Windows11 with Firefox at work, and can cobfirm that Ctrl v and Ctrl Shfi v both works as described in the post when I copy from old outlook and past into an Azure ticket.

The issue is, as explained in your link, because websites what a fucking access with JS to the clipboard. Firefox rightly protect us from the websites just looking to our copied password.

If the website just did nothing it would work by default. But they feel the needs to capture right click, and all Ctrl * shortcut to re-implement them in JS. A few years ago their webapp even broke next/previous buttons (that exist near the reload button and are binded on most mouse) all so they won't show they are loading the next page to the user.

TL;DR webdev are lazy, clumsy especially in large Corp.

Izzy allow non-open source apps. They say they will check, but how can they? Already with the source on hand it is not always easy to determine if the code is from am AI so on parts where sources are not available…
