I have good news. There is nothing to get.

The same people that will tell you that banning guns does nothing because criminals won't follow the rule, think that rapists are magically repelled by a sign.

And somehow people think calling yourself trans would magically be a more powerful tool to enter women toilet than calling yourself a plumber. Or hear me out... Just entering without saying anything and hiding in a stall until a victim is alone.

No, no, no, trans people would be an issue... obviously... these people are not coherent. Trans people are not more or less dangerous than anyone else.

  • It is not about averages and I never said it was. It is about the subset of people you are likely to meet. If i go to new York, I will see a lot of people but I will see every kind of person. If I see in new York 1 Mio people, the distribution of the people will be similar than when I walk through jakarta and see 1 Mio people. Unless!!! There is a difference in the distribution beyond population size.

If i would meet all the citizens in America and all the citizens in Canada, the fittest person i have met, is more likely American. But you don't met everyone.

    You are correct and wrong.

In a standard distribution, a bigger dataset will contain more more extremes and more extreme extremes. But the size doesn't change the distribution. For every extremely fit person, you would expect a propositional amount of non-fit people. So while you might encounter more extremes in specific locations like a bodybuilder event, in daily life, you would realistically encounter the same subset of people, than in a smaller population.

If we assume that the author is not seeking out locations with extremes. While the author is more likely to meet the actually fittest person in America than in e.g. singapore, as the actually fittest person is more likely to live there. it is vastly more likely that the author met "their" fittest person in the country that they spend most of their time in.

So variance due to size and more extreme extremes, doesn't explain the perception. His location would. Or if the distribution would be different in e.g. America than in e.g. singapore.

  • In short, we were friends for a long time and are now friends for a even longer time. I know him good enough to understand how he acts. He is VERY smart and not impulsive. He is extremely successful. He has no reason to be jealous and he has never shown me any jealousy to anyone.

He was supposed to go to a foreign nation and city for studying and I always wanted to go there. He wanted to see it a bit as a tourist too. So we went together for a week and then he would stay there for a couple months. The other people were his future study mates. The girl texted me the message and he gave her my number.

So if he wanted to improve his chances with the girls, my friend's game plan would needed to be:

    1. Add guy to a group as your friend
    2. Shittalking said friend to the group, because he help 1 girl.
    3. Give girl his phone number
    4. Said friend leaves country
    5. ???
    6. Profit

The girls are surely impressed when you add a creep to the group and calm him your friend that you travel with. The girls surely are impressed by you betraying your friend.

None of it makes sense. If he would betray me, it would be better thought out.

Additionally, he has a type (similar to me tbf) and he went to a country filled with his type and he would compete with me over women that were also foreigners in that country and not his type, nor mine?

I once got called a creep for offering to pay for a beer.

I was in a group of people and we walked together through a foreign city and we didn't know each other well. Someone suggested we get a beer from the store and chill in the park. Everyone got a beer but 1 woman just didn't have cash on her. I offered to pay. She accepted.

A couple days later, she told me that I shouldn't listen to what other people say, it was very kind that I immediately acknowledged her issue and offered help. I was confused.

Wtf, I would buy dave a beer. I would buy dave any drink, I just wouldn't exclude dave from the experience/group by not doing it.

I really wonder if they don't understand that they change from a distributed dependence for labour to a single dependency for labour and what that means for their position in their eco system.

Dear boss, 50 people won't strike or leave the company all at once for no reason at Monday 9:38am. Your ai overlords might decide change the terms of the contract randomly on a Monday morning and there is nothing you can do. You had effectively a crown and gave it away.
