Sure, I do it all the time. Turns out, volleyball has a real advantage for height. Should we ban all women over 6ft from playing volleyball? Being that tall is inherently unfeminine. Or maybe we should just ban any women who are too good at sports? Women are supposed to be gentle and soft, not aggressive! Get those aggressive, competative, manly women outta here.

The situation you're talking about is rare enough to be negligible compared to the number of people excluded from women in sports communities for no reason. And honestly, for the VAST majority of athletes, playing sports is about community and inclusion, not accolades.

Yeah, ok, sure, good things to keep in mind, but also being pregnant can really, really suck. I had so much nausea the entire time, and then so much guilt and worry for not being able to power through better. Anyone pregnant who's reading this and stressing about it: it's ok if you're just in survival mode!

Fun!! As to your dew question, it really depends on how humid your location is how quickly things will dry out. For backpacking or bike camping, if I'm moving camp, I usually try to clear everything out of the tent as soon as I get up. Take the fly off and hang it on a bush something, in the sun if possible; air out the bottom of the tent as well as you can...all while you're having breakfast etc. Or dawdle about to give everything time to dry out. Otherwise, yeah, it'll stay a little damp. Tents tend to dry quick though, so unless it stays rainy, usually even if you pack it up damp, it'll air out when you set camp the next evening.

Ok, so, while I understand your concerns about bodily autonomy, pre-K is still very much preschool. If a lot of kids are still 'bathroom learners', and especially if there are still kids in diapers (!!), teachers generally have to aim for getting kids to the bathroom as quickly as possible over privacy. That being said, if your kid wants privacy, especially if he's avoiding eating or using the bathroom because he's uncomfortable, he should be able to have that. "My kid doesn't want to use the bathroom at school because he doesn't like other people walking in on him; how can we solve this?" should get you a long way.

If you are concerned, you could follow up with your kid about in what context he is seeing other kid's body parts. Obviously, kids deliberately exposing themselves to each other would be inappropriate, but if this is all in the context of using a shared bathroom that sounds fairly normal in a preschool setting.

You bet! And congratulations! The early times are maybe the hardest part, at least in the confusing and scary side of things. Lots to worry about and not a lot that you can actually do about any of it. Reach out anytime. Good luck!!!

Hi! I'm a mom of 3. I biked until it wasn't comfortable for me, something like 35ish weeks, with my dr's approval. I did crash once when I was like high 20s weeks, doing something dumb. No ill effects, fortunately. I have friends that biked longer, but as in all things pregnancy, it's really variable how your body's going to feel and you just gotta go with it. Happy to chat more, feel free to dm me!
