Luigi is a messsage

What do you mean bullies and people defending themselves are completely different things?

Brian Thompson threatened the life of Luigi Maginone just before Luigi murdered him? This is fresh news. You have a source?

See Charlie Kirk’s murder. He wasn’t the state, he didn’t kill anybody, yet his murder is openly relished.

I love how several of the commenters disagreeing with you just result in reinforcing your point.

He disagreed with their “state”, so his assassination is celebrated.

But, yea, this is the overall thread. For many, it's a team sport and being on the right team means your murdering is OK.

Or are these different groups of Lemmings?

It's the same group of people.

They like to see certain people they don't like murdered. All other people outside of that group, regardless of how heinous of crimes they committed, should not serve their sentence.

Example: “Polititian commutes death sentences” Lemmy be like “good”, but then when “Politician condemns assassination” Lemmy have a problem with condeming political violence?

Correct, they don't condemn political murders, they want more.

    What a comically bad idea.

That tax is 1) going to just be a drag on everything IT, and 2) that is a higher tax than bandwidth costs, by a pretty good margin.

Yeah. It's one of the reasons I don't like suggesting people dual boot. Use an old computer if you need both, or just swap over.

Though, I did use a pair of pci-e cards with nvme drives inside that I would physically swap when I was transitioning.

That type of thing is actually pretty common for fully offline equipment. Think things like CNC machines that get all their instruction files via USB. Nobody is replacing a quarter-million dollar machine just because the OS is old.

But, yeah, if you connect such a thing to the internet, ooooh boy.
