Sure but why?

the primary reason is AI is a thief.

That's the least important reason to not use AI. All property is theft, especially copyright!

There is a difference between people using AI to help write/maintain code that they understand, and slopcoding unmaintainable vibe projects.

It's ok they will use their AI to wargame and it will fumble the bag as it can only extrapolate based on previous data and not account for people being pissed.

I'm sorry Mark it I was completely wrong to say they wouldn't reach for the guillotines, I can remember that in future scenarios. Let me know what you want to do next?

It's unclear from the text you quoted that the impersonations are related to the messages, maybe that's covered elsewhere in the article.

What you and others are doing with this report is a very weird form of deflection.

Expecting evidence that things are linked and that the police did their job is deflection?

I keep an account so I can follow what local redditors are saying about local politics, but everytime I make the mistake of clicking through a headline on the front page I can't help but notice the "non-political" subs have are regurgitating transphobia (specifically r/sportsgossip & friends).

The only place I don't see a change in vibes are the CircleJerk subs like AmITheAngel and GirlDinnerDiariesCircleJerk which if I put my conspiracy hat on would suggest the vibes are being pushed by bots or AI(actually Indians).

Even on my local reddit anything pro-police/survailance will have a bunch positive of comments from accounts with names like unoriginal_words_1234 and all their comment history hidden.

Has reddit moved further right recently or is this just 1 particular culture war thing being pushed, it does seem pretty engineered (AFAIK there are 0 trans women in the WNBA)? Has anyone done a study on this? Especially the rightward skew of seemingly bot accounts.

    • The recommended subreddits are all just repost farms where people pretend not to get the joke or repost videos with less context each time
    • The games they put into the mobile view are fun for about 1 play but now they are half my feed
    • my local subreddit is so obviously being astroturfed in preparation for November that you normal users are calling it out

It seems like on all fronts Reddit is getting so much worse.

But is it getting worse faster or is it just because I have a new account and I took the bait and interacted with dumb features?

I got banned by AI about a month ago, being the sucker that I am, I created a new account, so I'm not 100% if this is the experience new redditors get/want or if it's being pushed on everyone.
