This one grabbed my attention, so I went and looked through your posts - you are gooood at what you're doing, I really love your work and look forward to seeing more. I was gonna ask about your process but I ended up finding that question asked and answered :)

So I'll ask instead - was this general approach / "style" built-in, wanting to be let out, so to speak? Or did you arrive at it after working in different directions? Did you "construct" your approach, or does it feel more innate?

Feel free to elaborate in any way (including rejecting my framing lol), in truth I'm just asking what you found interesting, along your own paths to creation.

USian, yes, but I'm saying something more subtle than you realize. Obviously I understand basic root words for what they are, and no I'm not the kind of silly liberal that imbues words with unrealistic magical power. For instance I always thought trying to force people to use "latinx" in place of "latina/latino" was stupid, culturally insensitive, and honestly pretty patronizingly racist.

I'm not what you're imagining, and I do detest that tendency.

"We previously had a casual, low-key racism that no one minded! Everyone was perfectly fine with that arrangement. Until the youths stumbled into a way to get attention by making it more racist! I didn't want it to be more racist, it was the right amount of racist before! And as I said, everyone was fine with it!

Anyway regardless I'll still call them neegers. Those Americans with their influence can't take that from me."

Just an unbelievably trash hill to stake your vomit-tier flag on, but sure, go off.

Here's a question, why are all the "I'm Estonian!" announcers I ever stumble into, always just simultaneously, proactively finding the worst possible takes to give, upon their own introduction/announcement? The fuck is up with that "type" of y'all?

I read recently (ish, couple months now?) that Meta was reshaping its engineering workforce toward having them train an AI to do their work. Big push to record all user activity with their machines and engineers re-tasked away from engineering to doing the crucial, all-important labeling of this recorded data, so it can be used to train a model explicitly intended to replace them.

So yeah I don't think stuff is going great over there (thank fuck).

Woof lol, just layers deeper than mere "independent contractors", too, the strike threat is unbelievably funny.

These are people who are years downstream of even other downstream folks (the plastic-facade YouTuber hustlesphere influencer types who eventually <???> enough popularity to move these folks into actionable FOMO lol).

    A "strike" 🤡

Them saying "I was squandering my inheritance, but then I wasn't and it was so easy, I was so smart!, and now they made it harder, so I'll have to suffer through just squandering it again and I'm mad that they did this to me!"

Def get that frustration, Dems are not here to help us or anyone but the rich.

However - rather than not vote, go vote 3rd party. If voting is low effort for you (it isn't always...), that's a tiny but legible stamp of "nah fuck this".

Whereas non-voting in the US is only seen by the powers that be as "guess they're fine with either of us lmao, must not be too unhappy, hell yeah, may the great grift roll on!"

Send the signals ya mean, folks. Silence is not a signal.

The Epstein class is fundamentally transnational, this is the key problem. I welcome any organization trying to weed them out to any degree that is successful, but we must acknowledge - these people possess power (through money and influence) that utterly transcends states, and frankly governance of any kind.

If we don't deal with that fact, we will simply continue as we have.
