This is talking about the UK - where they are a native, breeding species - but the population has declined by more than 60% over the last 30 years. More detail here.
The most interesting thing this week was the first ep of Phony. I don't really know where that one is going, and I am interested to find out.
Also enjoying Carrie. A couple of episodes in and am linking how well they have you empathising with so many of the characters at times.
Well, if the tories - and Truss particularly - had remained in power until then, I can imagine that a lot of people would be taking extreme measure to get away, so I can see her point.
Up a bit early to drop the hired hedgecutter back before work. Need to check a few things for storm damage, then most of the day is a really long meeting, followed by another short one before home time.
Bees find new sources of nectar all the time. Flowers on this will come and go just like they do everywhere else and the bees will adapt to the changes. But, cumulatively, these would boost the available sources of nectar for them.
This is a variation on the B-Lines project that has been running for some years now, and has been very successful.
Do you find that you are annoyed by bees when sitting in a garden? I have seldom found it a problem myself.
I find it far easier to swipe to themed screens, each with a combo of widgets and apps.
I have one folder for car parking apps and so on, which I use less often.
I'm not really clear why this is in the Books community???
Anyway:
Ballard offers a quick self-test: Imagine you're in the middle of a meaningful conversation, but you have a doctor’s appointment next. Can you walk away easily? If yes, you're likely monochronic. If not, you're probably of the latter kind.
No. If I have an appointment coming up, then I am not going to get into a meaningful conversation in the first place. For at least an hour beforehand I will be in 'waiting' mode and deliberately avoid things like this.

I had quite a lot of unhealthy ways of coping with it, back when I did, but a couple of ways that I found to be effective and reasonably healthy were to spend time in natural environments - typically woodland and mountainous areas though. The coast can lead to intensified feelings of loneliness, I found - and also volunteering.
I ended up combining the two and getting into regular wildlife conservation volunteer work, which eventually led to me changing career and getting paid to lead vols in conservation work. But that is another thing altogether.
I am between three small town cinemas in the UK. Thankfully we don't get a lot of talking or bright phones etc at any of them and they are all pretty good, with talks before or after the film, local films, silent films with live music, arts events etc. so we do go to the more interesting things like that, but for run-of-the-mill blockbusters or whatever, I'm far happier staying at home and waiting.
Drax has been fuelled by biomass for some years now. Biomass is usually wood.
As with other energy hungry works - aluminium smelting, bitcoin mining etc - it makes sense to avoid transmission losses by building them immediately next to power stations. If run from the same source, they will be using the same fuel type.
