I grew up in a rural area. Nearest kids lived a km away. Had 2 TV channels. CBC radio. Party line telephone and long distance too expensive to use except emergency. We were far less isolated than kids today who have 'the world' at their fingertips. The Internet was a dream that in 1 generation turned into a nightmare. AI is 1000x worse.

Is this just anti-trans bigotry or anti-women? How many girls will not go into sports if they have to go through this type of abuse? There are many men who are very against the gains women have made in sports over the last couple decades and this would probably roll things back quite a bit.

Everyone needs to target the 12-15 possible GOP senators who are up for re election in 2028 and make them realize that they will go the way of their GOP colleagues yesterday if they don't support an agenda that will help average Americans most likely at the expense of their money bag donors this creating a veto proof Senate.

Time to find 12 Senators that are up for re-election in 2028 and remind them that backing Trump led directly to GOP Senators losing yesterday. They need to step up and start doing their job - working for American citizens.

He's already tried in the last couple weeks to tell voters to pretend he is on the ballot but is now claiming that because he wasn't on the ballot they didn't vote for him. They DID vote massively against him but he will never acknowledge that. Now will just have to wait to see how obstructionist he will be. Hope some GOP Senators that kept their seats will see that they need to help make things better for Americans or they could still be on the chopping block in 2 years. Aiding Trump is what got so many GOP turfed yesterday.

Democrats will have their work cut out for them. They will need to recruit 12 Republican Senators to have a veto proof Senate or Trump will stop each and every thing they might try to do. Their best bet is to stop ICE, fix ACA, prosecute corruption on an expedited time line, reverse tarrifs, get Citizen United cancelled, start taxing billionaires and major corporations in order to pay for American citizens services, tell Putin to get out of all of the Ukraine immediately, and tell Isreal to make the Israeli/Palestinian coalition government work. That might get them the next Presidency and keep majorities in Congress and Senate. Anything less and it's likely GOP can gain ground.

I don't usually have a problem finding parking but I also rarely need to be within a car length of the door to where I am going. There are some places where immediate downtown parking is limited but if you can walk a few blocks or take transit, it really isn't an issue. Of course very little of this applies to the US because 'if you can't drive there, you can't get there' is real. I've been in a hotel and wanting to go to a restaurant across the street but literally have to take an Uber because there isn't any way to walk there.
