I'm still using my pixel 9 pro with no plans of upgrading. It's still perfectly fine and the new ones don't look worth the upgrade

Plus, the 9 pro starts with more RAM than the 11 pro. Go figure.

Sometimes it's not just about money, it's about a healthy work/life balance. I'm a union electrician and we make 68/hr in the check after benefits are paid. Our overtime is double time after 8 hours or on a weekend. The last job I did was 12 hour days 5 days a week plus 8 on Saturday and Sunday.

I turn down basically all overtime because I have a 1yo and a 3yo at home that I would rather spend my time with. I don't need the overtime to pay my bills so I'd rather be present in their lives and not be the dad that missed their kids grow up because they were constantly chasing more money.

In 10 years nobody's gonna remember all the extra hours and shifts you put in at your job. Your boss won't care, nobody will. But your kids will remember.

You can lower the volume of those piezo alarms by putting a 6-32 screw through the hole. It will push on the diaphragm on the inside and muffle the vibrations. You can actually dial in the volume you want by turning the screw just right. Or just kill it with fire

25 year mortgages also exist. I refinanced my house in 2020 after 2.5 years living there. I went from 3.99% to 2.875%. I didn't want to restart my progress I had made so I did a 25 year mortgage and my payment still went down by about 20 bucks a month and knocked 2.5 years off the mortgage. Win win
