Still anxiously waiting to hear about my internal move. My colleague who applied as well and didn't get to "reference check" stage like I did had a meeting yesterday to explain why she didn't get the role. Apparently there were 4 positions and over 200 applicants, internal and external. Hoping tomorrow maybe I hear I got it? Maybe the next day? After every break from my computer I'm expecting an email or teams msg scheduling me for a meeting but stillllll waiting

I kept looking at my new wooden spoons thinking "I'm pretty sure you should oil those". Went down a rabbit hole and discovered yes you should with food grade oil and not cooking oil. Well, I don't have any. Wait. Yes I do because I moved it the other day. Chopping board oil! Yes! They're gonna get a nice bath then I'm gonna lube them up.

Doing pharmacy roulette today trying to find prescribed medication in stock. Chemist Warehouse made me wait a good 20 minutes just to tell me no stock. Went to two other places, no stock or about to expire. Finally lucked out and found it on the 4th attempt. Waiting in busy pharmacies just triggers a stress response in me.

10 hours of restful sleep was attained

rescheduled doctor's appt to next week, it was stressing me out that I had a cold and they don't like seeing people with colds

My stomach hasn't been 100% but I'm at least doing a morning in the office because I have an open IT ticket.

ALT+TAB on my computer has stopped working properly. That's not the sort of thing I thought could break. And you know what IT departments are like, if you can't do things to their schedule they'll just close the ticket

The fog was pretty this morning

I slept most of today. My stomach hurt so much I wasn’t able to eat and only managed a few sips of lemonade to take Panadol.

I’m trying a few dry crackers now and maybe some heavily diluted Ensure

My new budget tracking spreadsheet has worked, both the bank and I agree on how much money I have. There were a few initial glitches where I set up some calculations wrong but it appears to now be working. I was resisting changing to the spreadsheet instead of multiple bank accounts to track everything because of the hassle factor, but now that it's done I think it is actually an easier system. It will also make things much more coherent for the bank when I get to the stage of applying for a loan. Just one bank account with minimal transactions instead of 23 with constant transfers back and forth.

I've put a wrist strap on the vacuum phone because it's just so wide and flat. Combine that with the camera bump and there are a few times it has flown out of my pocket from getting caught on the way out.

When we were at the Blue Lotus Watergardens the other week I was terrified of holding my phone out to get a photo and fumbling it into the water.

Modern phones are one thing that could convince me rich people are actually aliens or lizard people because these things are not made to be handled by human hands. They almost feel more suited to a tentacle or a rough padded lizard foot
