They should be pointing that shit at red states realistically

The media agitation is aimed at blue states, because blue states have the highest population of anti-war people.

We're not going to get a story about Texas being targeted by Iran, because Texans are largely on board with the war. We're going to get an endless earful about California and New York and Minnesota and Oregon, because it gives reactionary media an opportunity to scream "Why are you rooting for Radical Islamic Jihadists?! THEY WANT TO KILL YOU!!"

Also, provides another great excuse for Trump when he decides to send in ICE to rough up brown people in SF or LA.

I think support for the war in Texas and similar red states is weaker than you'd think, but with enough dumb F**ks who would be brought back in line with a false flag attack.

I think you might be onto something. All of my dumbfuck fellow Texans aren't answering many questions these days on how they feel about the new Iran war. The ones who talk say that Kamala would have done the same thing.

B-b-but, isn't that why you voted for the peaceful never-war president??? Good God, I wonder what else he may have lied about!!!

The Republican political majority and much of the nationally elected DINO contingent fully backs the war. Maybe the people don't, but they'll continue to send up people who do to make decisions on their behalf.

enough dumb F**ks who would be brought back in line with a false flag attack

Or just an AI video overlaid with TikTok voice that claims there was an Iranian attack.

5 democrats voted against reining in this current attack. And 3 republicans voted for it. But sure, they're both the same 🙄

Funny how there's always just enough Democrats crossing the aisle to gain the desired outcome but never more. It's almost as if the distinction between parties is political theater since neither side is ever allowed to be held accountable for not living up to their rhetoric.

Just enough defections to guarantee the resolution fails. Cuellar is, incidentally, the highest ranking Dem on the House Appropriations Committee, a job Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries allows him to keep despite needing Trump's Presidential pardon to stay out of jail.

Vargas is, similarly, a steaming pile of shit who squats on one of the bluest districts in the country.

You can go down the list. These are all enabled by national leadership and state level corporate money. They're symptoms of a corrupt and diseased partisan system.

They are. But America is planning an attack that looks like Iran on the best state that makes them look bad.

The person you are replying to is suggesting a vindictive false flag event is being prepared. Classic conspiratorial banter.

But it’s 2026, so dismissing it as conspiratorial thinking/banter is possibly exactly what this admin wants. It’s a really fucked up time period.

There isn't anything worth attacking in most red states.

The best refinery targets would be the ones that handle domestic US oil production, and many of those are located in blue states as well.

    Really

Not Alabama Oklahoma or Texas? Near the source of the oil

You mean like the the largest concentration of deployed nuclear weapons in America and the largest strategic airbases and navy yards? Oh shit, those are all in blue states.

Where do you clowns get your ideas from?

Where do you clowns get your ideas from?

    Reality.

Most nuclear missile sites are in the Great Plains, which are mostly red states. Most military bases are in the south, all red states. But there are a bunch in CA, WA, and VA/DC/MD too.

They planned to bomb us in case we bomb them, so in self defense we bombed them.

    That's literally the official story...

Israel was going to attack, which would have lead to Iran attacking US allies, so the US attacked Iran first.

It's the same as a kid saying:

If I had taken his lunch money he'd have fought back, so instead of asking I sucker punched him and took it. I didn't do anything wrong, it was self defense!

Like, that's the logic our foreign policy is operating under right now.

The previous bush-era logic of "Dave slapped me because I was an asshole to everyone in the class, so now I'm going to torture and kill Rick who kinda looks like Dave to me" was not much better

  • The word aspired here really undermines this. Not planning, not attemped, aspires. That's not just the headline. They are quoting the alert. Is it worth reporting to the local PD everything Iran aspires to do?

Eh, even if they did, though. Fair's fair. Perfectly legit to respond to a country bombing you by bombing them back.

CA has nothing to do with that stupid war. And probably protested it like mad.

Smells like bullshit to me. Red states like to make up scenarios where they're the victim so why say CA? Pick one of your shithole states so you can cry and whine that no one likes you. (truth: no one does)

"Aspired" doing a lot of heavy lifting there...

We just merc'd their political and religious leader, fucking obviously they would want to strike back on US soil.

Put drones on ship that would legitimately get close to CA coast. Launch drones from ship.

Uh huh. Cross the entire Indian and Pacific Oceans on a ship that US satellites are seeing the entire time, and launch drones from it. Uh... That sounds deeply silly.

Unless... its a submarine drone. Ooh, can we make this AI powered to add more buzzwords?

I think its more likely that Iran will sink US Navy boats with those drones. I don't know whether to be proud or disappointed that they're being so restrained about that.

Because that's what it is - restraint.
