What ever happened to "Banning guns won't work" and "If you ban guns then only criminals will have guns"?
post
Ahh, so banning transgender people from the military was about stripping transgender people of access to self-defense weapons? That's an interesting consideration, but the logic is so consistent that it makes perfect sense.
Nah these people are morons - instead try: Oh good, finally the first ban, let's do the crazies next, right? Immigrants, sure. And pedophiles, absolutely. And nazis, obviously, and bolshevik sympathizers. This is good stuff, who else... vegans, feminists, cyclists... Hold on, where's your copy of project 2025? Don't have one? Ok, you're banned too.
They want to make sure none of their neonazi Gestapo get shot when they start hauling them away to genocide camps. Sorry but that’s what I think is going on.
I read this as trans people are about to get the immigrant treatment.
First they came for the...
Then they came for the...
If you're trans (or undocumented) please either seek asylum or arm yourself.
I would like to add to please contact your local representative and tell them to support lawful gun ownership for honest citizens.
That’s been a big flaw of Democrats for a long time. Because we’re (as a party) so anti-gun, we’re mostly disarmed.
And as should be increasingly obvious, that’s not great.
Gun violence is mainly mental health related, which is why over half of ALL gun deaths in the country are suicides. I’d love to see either party give a shit about mental health but it’s politically easier to ban guns or tell your constituents “they’re coming for your guns!” (and they’re right.)
Performative outrage from democrats who spend their time trying to deprive themselves of the right to self-defense.
As a long-time gun owner, advocate, and trainer, I've been telling people on the 'Left' that the neolib Dem anti-gun stance is bad in our country.
We are not a high-trust society. We do not have an egalitarian government. We have already had one civil war over some Americans believing themselves intrinsically superior to others, to the point they viewed them as property. Even that war only applied to men, as it took another hundred or so years for women to even be allowed to have their own bank account.
Like it or not, political power (and therefore rights) grows out of the barrel of a gun, and as Huey P. Newton astutely observed
Any unarmed people are slaves, or are subject to slavery at any given moment
The fact that conservatives are now trying to take guns away from trans people should remove any doubt left that the 2A is about asserting your rights, especially your right to life.
