After Brawn and Todt left Ferrari it became about the brand not the F1 team. Hubris is Ferrari's downfall.

It's a chronic problem. Luca Montezemolo ran Ferrari in the 70s with no experience because he was Gianni Agnelli's illegitimate son. He lost Lauda. Every decade they purge all the chronies and nepo babies from Ferrari and they win, only to have them all crawl back like roaches. At this point, the brand makes money from F1 by just showing up and winning doesn't matter. Fans keep buying $180 t shirts, so why change.

Agree. Hamilton cost them a lot of money, but not as much money as he will bring/brings in. Lewis had a special edition silverstone baseball cap this year. It was 65 quid.

    For a fucking cap.

    Liberty Media enshittified F1.

Now they are forcing MotoGP to go to Qatar -literally the closest region to Iran, in the middle of a war. Yamaha told them to fuck off this weekend. MotoGP riders are likely going to unionize against Liberty.

You knew where you were heading, dear! Enjoy your F40 and off-track perks and let amateurs be amateurs during race weekends

Crofty was brutal after that message. I'm paraphrasing but he said something along the lines of: "Oh Leclerc is still wearing his cooling vest, regretfully I don't think there enough cooling vests in the world to help Hamilton keep his cool right now"
