He added: “One was under the impression that the Burnham government had slightly more respect for the basic notions of freedom of expression and other democratic rights. I appeal for this decision to be overturned.”

It seems Burnham is just a more convincing liar than Starmer was.

How is Burnham going to get closer with EU when political rights are on the level of Vučić's Serbia? At least Serbs managed to move on.

Have they considered the Streisand effect?Banning Andreas Martin, author of How to Blow Up a Pipeline, from attending an event in support of Palestine Action, might increase visibility of both the author's work and of the organisation. This might unfortunately lead to more people getting and reading his book, IBSN 1-839-76025-7.

  • It'd be more accurate to say that Israel, the UK, the US and many other countries are controlled by the same corporate interests. The western military industrial complex props up Israel's existence because it likes having a place to test all its new atrocities while getting loadsamoney from government contracts, and Empire-aligned states help them not just for the love of the game, but also because they assume pissing off the MIC would be economically and militarily disastrous.
