I think I broke the power system. My florinol battery that's supposed to bootstrap into better stuff has been modified with lava to be self-recharging, enough that I can run the laser non-stop at T6. Biggest challenge I faced building this was hauling enough lava up from the reservoir.

Tried to take a recording of going wild with the laser, but Sandustry isn't playing nice with my Steam overlay.

It's a fun little game, if a little short on late game content at the moment.

Completed it twice, but haven't gone into optimizing. Still feels too much like a demo. Second time through I finished it in like 2 hours.

Really wish there was some way to automate sand gathering consistently. Drones and the terracore still require constant maintenance, to the point where it's easier to just sit by the core and shovel away. That's like 80% of the gameplay.

I stopped when I got to the point where you had to accumulate like 60k power or something and found the task unfeasible. I had a giantic container of florinol, like double the size of your entire base, however, it was still just a fourth or something of what I needed, so I gave up as I didn't want to wait on it to fill up for hours. I'm sure that I was missing something but I thought I had explored what was there so it didn't bother me.

Sounds like the task I was on in this screenshot? You can see in the top right, accumulate 100k max energy.

You're actually supposed to build a copper battery, a small copper battery will hit that amount. Florinol isn't really meant to be used for batteries except right at the very start.

I did, then realized its a game loop ive already done before and backed out before sinking time into it.
