Canadians want to build big things, but you can’t build those things without steel.

To save the Canadian steel industry and take back control of our economy, Canada must nationalize Stelco.

True but even just starting with steel. Capitalist loving UK nationalized recently so why not us?

I'm sure they'll get right on it as soon as they're done privatizing our airports 'n what not...

Of course, and Lewis is smart enough to know that Carney would not do this. He's using this media appearance to present an alternative.

To be fair to Canadians. We don't need Avi Lewis or the NDP telling us this. Nationalizing Stelco is already a question in the national news. I'm hearing about it daily now. It's 730am in the GTA and it was a point of discussion on Metro Morning.

Heard today on curse of politics nationalizing this company is a winning strategy. The owner is rumoured to be a maga man.

And those people rarely agree on anything I’m praying this might actually happen.

I fail to see how Hamilton's steel factories are not projects of national interest.

But maybe the workers should just take it over already and let the government figure it out afterwards.
