Vance took a more public step on Wednesday toward reinforcing his own political brand with an unusually blunt election postmortem. In a social media post, he blamed the Iran war for Republicans’ midterm defeat and laid out a platform for a Republican rebound.

He called for a swift end to the conflict and urged Republicans to focus on affordability, reevaluate foreign relations and overhaul the US relationship with Israel.

Trump has called Americans’ affordability concerns a Democratic “hoax.” He launched a war against Iran following sustained lobbying from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Trump went on to endorse Netanyahu in the Israeli election.

How exciting. He's got so many great starting points to build his brand off of, like "whatever makes sense," couch fucking, and "have you said thank you once?" It's shaping up to be the most charismatic political brand we've seen since "Jeb!"

"But, the R next to his name!"

Seriously though, Trump has done so much worse and still got elected twice. I doubt MAGA voters do any research on the candidates and vote all Republican.

All that doesn't matter if there isn't an election in 2028. Remember when Trump said he "shouldn't have left" the White House when he lost the election in 2020. Imagine what his plans are this time around.

For those out of the loop:

LITITZ, Pa. (AP) — Donald Trump delivered a profane and conspiracy-laden speech two days before Tuesday’s presidential election, talking about reporters being shot and suggesting he “shouldn’t have left” the White House after his 2020 loss to Democrat Joe Biden.

In remarks Sunday that bore little resemblance to the speech he’s been delivering at his recent rallies, the former president repeatedly cast doubt on the integrity of the vote and resurrected old grievances after trying to overturn his 2020 election defeat. Trump intensified his verbal attacks on what he cast as a “demonic” Democratic Party and the American media, steering his rally in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, at one point to the topic of violence against members of the press.
