Residents are sending a clear message about the violent deportations taking place across the US this midterm cycle

Minnesota voters left “I Voted” stickers on memorial sites for Alex Pretti and Renee Nicole Good, the two US citizens killed by federal immigration officials earlier this year.

Pretti, a 37-year-old intensive care unit nurse at the Veterans Affairs medical center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Good, a writer and mother of three, were killed during a large-scale immigration enforcement operation in the Minneapolis region in January.

Donald Trump’s aggressive and violent mass deportation campaign has been a key issue for voters across the country during this midterm cycle, and has played a large part in Minnesota’s election.

Hey wait a second. Why are you posting a video with a blurry Wolfsangel patch on some random background soldier's uniform? You literally said there are photos of Zelensky proudly posing with swastika flags. Those are the images you should be posting.

But okay. Wolfsangel. First, having that symbol in the background of a video and saying that makes the Ukrainian military white supremacist, well, that's a tenuous argument. According to them the Wolfsangel symbol is being used in its original historical context, ie, to symbolize rebellion and freedom from tyranny. The situation they're in certainly bears out that notion. I mean, what would be the point of promoting white supremacy in a war where virtually all the soldiers involved are white?

I'm sure you're aware most Nazi symbols were appropriated from elsewhere and turned into hateful imagery by association and a corrupting ideology. I agree with you that in a modern context it's problematic, but I stop short of calling their explanation outright bullshit. For you to unequivocally accuse them of Nazism, which echoes Russian propaganda, is suspect in itself.

Separately, if white supremacy in the armed forces genuinely bothers you, I have some truly distressing news about many service members in your own military. I hope you're as vocal (or more, even!) with your opposition to their service as you are to that of the Ukrainians. But somehow I doubt it.

God you guys are so stupid it’s unbearable. Sure buddy. and the 1488 tattoo on my neighbor is just a number. I know what these symbols mean

Oh trust me I am. The US army is literally the biggest white supremacist army ever created. Trust me you don’t probably want to know what I think should happen to American military forces. I don’t think any of them deserve to come home. They made a choice to serve white supremacy.

Same goes to Ukraine. Reject your Soviet history, whatever, but have Hitler tattoos in your ranks, starts to smell like Nazi apologia, possibly even utilizing and funding Neo Nazis. Same as Americans.

Well, since we're all in complete agreement that white supremacy sucks, even if our sources differ, I'll take that as a compliment and consider myself in good company. Peace, bruv. ✌️
