Republicans 28% of voters

Independents 44% of voters

Self-proclaimed centrist portion of independents 32% of voters.

I don't think centrists are as right wing as is commonly claimed here. If they were, the Democrats would never, ever win any election, ever. So... kinda silly

    They are not the same thing. That's why we have two different words with two different meanings.

    All independents are not centrists, but all centrists are independents (in the USA).

    Regardless, whether independents OR centrists, they both outnumber Democrats, and you require their votes to win any election.

    Maybe... just maybe... it's in your best interests to not insult them?

    • centrist and not independent
    • independent and not centrist

    Neither of those is inclusive, or exclusive, of the other

They're either far left and think picking fights with the center is somehow the way to forward for their cause (seems just because you've read Marx doesn't mean your IQ jumps above 80). Or, they're psy-op from the right, trying to collect centrists to the right (This would be the higher IQ move out if the 2 options).

    Remember when the Democrats increased funding to ICE? Remember when the Democrats had the Republicans against the rope on the budget, and folded for no reason? Remember when Biden broke a bunch of laws to help Trump build out the border wall? Remember when Obama expanded Bush's policies on torture, kidnapping, and deportation? Remember when the Democrats had the chance to put Trump in prison, but chose not to? Remember when Obama rebranded Romney-care as Obama-care?

    I have a hard time believing that the left, eating their own, is a path back to power. You're just gonna annoy people, drive them away, and depress your voter turnout; a surefire way to make sure the right remain in power. So those that participate in trashing the left or center, every time a politician does not deliver 100% of a wishlist (if they are voting eligible "Americans") must be either stupid, or elephants in donkey costumes.
    I mean what's the in-between? Folks who studied Socialism and Communism but never studied how to fucking win something?... maybe.
    Or I suppose I can concede, you all far lefties are a separate faction, trying to make inroad to capture power over the rest of the left, as they see that is their only path to power.
    Still kinda dumb too, as while it may be the only play, it just wouldn't happen, and is a waste of effort.
    You want to threaten and use any leverage against the left to effect policy? Well that is pretty useless while they don't have power. So ya better get on the support train first - whinge later, program.

Look how that worked out for Palistinian-Americans that voted for Trump because, "evil" Dems didn't immediately cut money to Israel. Measurably worse. Shot themselves in the foot. Jared Kushner is probably got a deal going to put a golf course on those dumb voters collective Palistinian family-homes as we speak.

    I have already done that. I even pointed out a lot of what they've done, but you decided to ignore that. Lets review other things that they did:

    • bombed kids
    • supported a rapist
    • made our healthcare more expensive, and lowered it's quality
    • destroyed our environment
    • bailed out their rich friends
    • increased mass deportations
    • increased torture programs

    And there's plenty more. Which of those should I be supportive of? Because they are pretty antithetical to what I want.

    Vote-threat is how you leverage power. Look at what the strategy of "voting blue no matter who" has gotten us: Genocide and fascism. If the Democratic voters were willing to stop voting for fascism and genocide-supporters, and start leveraging that vote-threat, then we'd have a different party in power. One that wouldn't be supporting fascism and genocide.

    The protest voters didn't shoot themselves in the foot, the Democrats aimed the gun at their foot, so that the Republicans could pull the trigger.
