I can’t believe Americans (all institutions, and half of voters) are fine with this. This is fucked up.

Sadly, that's like 99% of us not in the Epstein class. Where are all those real crazies, the organized psychos, when an actual evil pedophile elite is right there?

Exactly. We finally have a tyrannical corrupt government that is headed by a pedophile Russian asset and the 2A crowd is silent or supports it. Think the left should arm up and we should have that revolution the teaparty morons want so bad - but instead of some action movie shit it would just being walking down the street and shooting your pedophile supporting neighbor.

80 million sick fucks as well as all the people registered to vote that refuse to all because they think that women shouldn't be leaders.... in addition to all the filthy scum who think that compromise is treason when in reality aiding nazi filth is treason. whether that aid is refusing to vote, voting for republikkkans, or wasting votes on independents who can't even make a name let alone getting votes... it's all aiding nazi filth.

It shows how important christianity is to 2/3 of America— as in not at all. It’s why I can never take christian values seriously again because it’s obviously just another club with personal benefits for the people who join. Living the teachings of Christ is completely voluntary.

living the values and teachings of old white men claiming they heard god speak and who want women and children to be sex slaves is not religion. is a control mechanism that has raped and butchered people for 2000 years, while convincing delusional nutjobs who can only act right under the threat of damnation, that they are good people.

There is no hate quite like Christian love.

    We're Americans. We own guns.

The problem is there are no meaningful citizen's militias that aren't themselves Nazis.

The left allowed itself to be disarmed for the purpose of purity signaling and the result is a gross lack of tribal knowledge with regards to engaging in protracted violence.

Exactly this. It’s amazing how we start seeing the “both parties” rhetoric right around election seasons. But then they vanish afterwards, when they help get the vile fucks elected. It’s honestly astounding how people see clear evidence of the orange slimeball hurting children, and go “oh but the other side is just better at hiding it, so I might as well keep voting for the orange slimeball instead.” It’s the most asinine, cretinous, sophomoric line of reasoning imaginable.

Biden didn't release them because there was an ongoing investigation keeping them sealed. Trump ended the investigation as part of his coverup. Good job preempting the fUnNy tExT though.

  • Honestly, probably a non zero amount, but I can assure you that the dem voters would actually care if it came out.

The Weiner scandal was actually a scandal and he served time. I'm not willing to go to bat for dem politicians (though I'd pick a random D over a random R politician any day), but I'll definitely back dem voters on the whole for actually having some degree of standards or morals, which does generally lead to accountability.

I think that's the main difference, because even if Rs and I disagreed, if they actually had morals we would not have found ourselves here. A bunch of Rs referred to Trump as a Hitler-like fascist and then bent the knee because the R voters didn't care. It's not that our politicians are somehow morally superior, though on the whole they definitely are, it's that the actual base cares about the things they say they care about.

Uh no. But just please stay out of elections or politics so we don't lose again. Just take the back seat and let those of us who are capable of winning elections lead. We'll carry you, in-spite of your insistence that you damage everyone through your behavior.

You aren’t capable of doing the math on a 2 party, 1st past the post election but you’re “capable of winning elections” and you’re gonna “carry” folks? Get the fuck out of here with that delusional bullshit.

I didn’t lose shit. I’m not a rah-rah DNC supporter and I didn’t have shit to do with all the brain dead decisions by the DNC that helped get us to this point. You don’t know me and you can fuck right off with that noise.

Once we have a choice between center right, status quo candidate and far right, authoritarian, racist, rapist, felonious, pedophile, the choice is clear to anyone who isn’t a toddler throwing a tantrum. I hate that the DNC refused to take a moral stand against Palestinean genocide but I’d bet everything I own that there would be more Palestineans alive today under President Harris. Do you think we are better off now that one of our few unequivically anti genocide representatives is being threatend with deportation?

The world is a terrible messy moral minefield and the US political system is absolute shit but reasonable, responsible adults accept reality and try to navigate towards the best possible outcomes. Stop acting like a sullen child. I hope you don’t live in a swing state.

If Trump and Harris were threatening the same genocide, but Trump had more targets than just Palestine, wouldn't Harris be the harm reduction choice?

The reality we have is that Democrats threw a very winnable election to fascists because they couldnt oppose a genocide.

No one is denying that. Trump being in power is the fault of both Democrats and non-voters.

But guess which of the two categories has been harmed more by the result? I don’t see Kamala begging on the street because she can’t afford groceries. They never really had anything to lose.

All of mainstream media and half of lemmy is still denying this. Look around this thread.

Link me to a single comment in this post saying Harris was awesome and that she did the best she could to win. They’re all saying she was far from perfect, or even from a good candidate, but voting her was still the correct choice.

Which is why I think Biden at least, half his cabinet, and potentially Harris should be arrested for the war crime of funding a genocide

Ok, cool, no issues with that. Who’s gonna do it when we have other politicians doing that in addition to… literally this article for example, and they’re still governing with no repercussions?

Non-voters lack deductive reasoning. They fail to understand that if Harris doesn't win, Trump wins. They can't grasp that eliminating one option leaves only the alternative.

Perhaps if they banded together, they could get support for a third candidate. It would be difficult but I suppose trying would have been better than refusing to vote against fascism.

They don't like the rules of the game, so they refused to play

The left has been usurped by adolescent culture warriors who don't give a shit about anything except being outraged about their flavor of the month identities not being taken seriously. It's vile, it doesn't belong to us, they just latched on and now we can't get rid of them. If I was conspiratorial I'd say it's a psyop because they've done nothing but harm to the real left, to the workers, to the proletariat, to actual humanitarian change, it's all performative purity testing bullshit.

It's like a little club they made for themselves, more like being part of a band fanclub or console fanboys than having anything to do with actual politics and creating an equitable society for all. It's fucking ridiculous.

Trump's approval rating is 18 points underwater, which is his lowest ever and like 16 points below where Bush was after Hurricane Katrina. He has fallen fast. Will be interesting to see whether our institutions can start to right themselves with Trump's political power so diminished
