Which is why it's a shame to see you fight each other as if that isn't the case.

I would wholeheartedly recommend reading How To Win Friends And Influence People (or at least this summary). Especially if you're trying to convince people to vote in the midterms.

Elmo (people discussing US midterms here) choosing between fruits (trying to understand before making their point) and cocaine (infighting and proving each other wrong at all cost).

Vote with your heart in the primaries, vote with your head in the general. Of course you should vote Democrat. I'm just saying there are also things you can do to improve the quality of Democrats you get.

Ah, ok you're one of the reasonable ones. For some reason I've been butting heads against staunch anti-Ds today and it grinds you. They refuse to see that their position is playing in the hands of the R cronies.

But yes, what Bernie almost did was amazing. Very much hoping to see something similar happen again.

Yeah, I don't know why that position is so common here. And God it would be so awesome to see someone like Bernie actually succeed. I think it's possible.

They must be either paid shills, or fanatics who direct their anger to the Democratic party. Their solution is some vague revolution, whereas taking over the Democratic party would be an order of magnitude easier task.

How can you take over an organization that creates its own rules to prevent exactly that?

Nazi Germany had lots of "reasonable ones" too. Good Germans. Good Americans.

They made a poem about it.

    ...what? That's a non-sequitur with concerning implications.

vote with your head in the general

    Tall order for Americans.

It was a successful prosecutor versus a convicted felon, adjudicated rapist, insurrectionist, and probable pedophile with one failed presidency already under his belt and a significant number of Americans still managed to not vote or turn their vote to ash with a 3rd party candidate, including a shit ton of users on this very platform who still think they were very smart for doing so.
